We begin with an excellent overview of three theological methods contrasted: via antiqua, via maderna and Lutheranism. Theology is for humans and for the purpose of their salvation and for the forgiveness of their sins. The revealed God, known through the foolishness of the cross is contrasted with the hidden God. Human affection (i.e emotions) are discussed in the context of predestination and how affections affect our human will.
