When Jesus is sleeping, we should be napping next to Him. When He’s making moves and rolling up His sleeves we should do the same. It’s how we handle storms and how we exercise our authority in all things, just like how Jesus did. He’s always teaching us and will often go out of His way in order to bring a lesson to us that will produce a growth we wouldn’t receive otherwise. What He’s doing in our midst produces wonderful things. Things that often manifest in the spiritual before it shows up in the physical. So many Christians try to do things in their own strength and struggle without the power available through the Holy Spirit. You can be filled with the powerful Spirit of God where you have the ability to live a supernatural life in a very natural world. In this message, Pastor Tim talks about 3 ways that the Holy Spirit wants to empower us.

Jesus comes into the temple and when He see’s what it’s become, He does not tolerate it. He starts flipping tables, driving out the animals and shouting for them to get this out of there! What made Him so upset? The temple was never supposed to be like this. Ultimately, worship was never supposed to be so cheap and cost so little. Pastor Josiah shares about the original intent of the temple as well as the ultimate heart of worship for each of us today.

Jesus breathed on His disciples and said “Receive the Holy Spirit”. As we dive into Him breathing on them we see a lot of parallels between the Spirit and breath or wind. We don’t normally focus on our breathing. We can, but it’s just something that we do naturally without thinking about it. As natural as it is for us to breath is as normal as it should be for us to walk in the Spirit.

Furthermore, there’s some key things that all need to be doing. Without the help of the Holy Spirit, we’ll not be able to accomplish these things well. We need His help!

It’s close to Valentines day and Pastor Josiah shares some thoughts on marriage and how to keep God at the absolute epicenter of our relationship with Him. He in of Himself is a relationship and out of His capacity for love, created us — built for relationship as well.

It’s our faith that activates a response from God. Much of the Scriptures was God moving on behalf of men and women whose faith moved Him. What are you doing with your faith? It has to become your own! You have to own it and actually do something with the faith you have. Don’t let it sit idly by, collecting dust! Your faith should be moving and unlocking things we never dreamed it would unlock. Just like how Mary unlocked incredible things reserved for a later time when Jesus was at the wedding in Cana. Do something with the faith you have, then watch Him do what only He can in response to that faith — it will release a glory that we all need!

The conviction of the Holy Spirit is a very positive thing. He’s convincing you of the Christ. There’s things in our conduct and character that doesn’t look Christlike and when He convicts us of such things it’s because, in His love He’s working on making us look more like Jesus. This is the end goal of what we all desire! To be like Jesus in all things. His convicting work creates opportunity for us to learn to live yielded to this work. A result of this is being sanctified. He is Jehovah M’Kaddesh - The Lord Who sanctifies. It’s not just what He does, it’s Who He is. We’re not just called to be separate from darkness but to walk in the light. To be holy unto the Lord.

John the Baptist had an incredible ministry of preparation. Getting things ready for the Messiah, but when He showed up, all bets are off! The disciples were leaving their other endeavors to follow Him and bringing those they were in relationship with to follow Him as well. This authentic Gospel was being displayed and the hungry ones were buying into it. We cannot be fake! We must be the real deal, just like Jesus!

An authentic relationship with our LORD backs up and supports His powerful kingdom. Ask the LORD to show you how to love Him. Repent of your old ways of thinking, and seek Him wholeheartedly. Ask the LORD to show you what the kingdom walk looks like everyday so that you can be light and salt in this broken world.
