We’re all in process. We likely have not arrived to looking just like Christ. It’s a process’s. The disciples were in it and Jesus was extremely patient with them, as He is with us. The only vital error would be to abandon the process He has us in. Can’t have it! Pastor Josiah shares how vital the process is that we’re all in and how crucial we are to walk through this together as family.

Intimacy will always be tied to reproduction. We know that intimacy cannot be separated from sexual intimacy but to be clear, the intimacy with the Lord we’re discussing is NOT a sexual intimacy. However, when we can use the understanding of what sexual intimacy is between a husband and a wife, a man and a woman, we see a guide and uncover some helpful tools that will help us explore what intimacy with God does look like. So, we’re pulling elements from that kind of sexual intimacy, but we’re certainly not saying that’s what we’re supposed to be engaging with God in. Pastor Josiah takes us into the story of Jacob & Laban, also his mother Rebecca. Jacob became what he saw within his family. Knowing we’ll become what we look at can be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on what you’re looking at. What influences you matters greatly!

We all have a relationship with God. It may not be a good relationship or it may be a great relationship. But to some degree we all have some sort of relationship with Him. Defining that relationship as a “love relationship” is vital. How we see Him will project how we see ourselves and how we engage with Him. Pastor Josiah launches us into a study on what intimacy with God actually looks like. What does it mean to be intimate with God? What is it and what is it not? Then we venture into 4 healthy pillars of an intimate believer. This is our heading and by God’s grace we’ll thrive on this journey of learning to be intimate with the greater Lover of all, King Jesus.

Where are we going as a church in 2025? There’s so much vision for where we feel the Lord is taking us. Best of all, it’s where the Lord is leading us! Not random things that we’re conjuring up on our own but truly Spirit-led endeavors that will bring so much blessing to the community and to this great church. Begin praying about what your part to play is on this journey. It’ll take all of us to do our part and watch God work in our midst.

Fasting is an incredible tool to keep the flesh in check. When the flesh is in check the spirit man soars! We learn from Paul that the flesh and the spirit are always contrary to one another and fasting is a way of telling the flesh who is really in charge. However, dietary adherence without spiritual engagement will not produce the desired results. The goal is to engage with God. As Faith Chapel launches into 2025 in a season of fasting, we believe these helpful Kingdom truths will assist you on the venture.

Pastor Josiah also reveals some incredible plans for 2025! With an exciting new project here at the main campus and an incredible new ministry beginning this year, there’s much to pray for and prepare our hearts for. God is doing some incredible things through Faith Chapel and in many ways, we’re still just getting started!
