When we place our faith in Jesus, we experience His love and have a relationship with Him. But life is not always easy, circumstances can often dictate what we feel and give out to others. But God helps us stay faithful, loving and committed to Him. One of the crucial thing that help our hearts remain in that position with God is to have His word and truth engraved in our hearts. In today's episode we dig into Proverbs 3:3-4, which helps us understand what it means to have and to hold the word of God in our hearts.

Some situations in life can be very overwhelming and that feeling of being overwhelmed pours into us feeling that our prayers are barely going to make any difference. But we know that His thoughts and plans are far better than any thing we can ever imagine and it is His voice and authority that truly matters. Listening to Him over other voices, including our very own is what we should be striving to do. Today we look at one such story in scripture that illustrates what disobedience and disregard to the voice and authority of God does and also reminds us of the importance to lay aside our pride and ego and be obedient and trust in God.

Life does not always go our way and it can be difficult to walk diligently by faith during those times. Those tough moments can begin to etch at our faith. We are reminded in scripture to take what lays heavy on our hearts to Jesus. In Today's episode, we look at one such story in scripture that gives us a glimpse into someone who had great faith and did face those moments of doubt and will also help us see how we can approach those moments. 

When Jesus calls us to step out and do something, we do not know how things are going to play out. Jesus asks us to step out in faith and trust. When we obey, we are blessed for our obedience. God looks at out heart and sees our willingness and obedience. And one of the best things is by our response of trust and obedience we get to honour Him. Peter sets such a good example of obedience for us and shows us the need to grow deeper in our own trust of the Lord.

What does the Holy week mean for you? As followers of Christ, do we tend to become a little lax in how we approach this week. We can find ourselves doing all that we need to outwardly but is our heart all in. As we set apart this week, may we ensure that that it is not just our actions but our very hearts that praise God for His sacrifice.

Holding onto unforgiveness can be very damaging to our soul. It eats us away from the inside. It is only through Christ that we can truly forgive and let go of that hurt and when we do, we experience His peace that exceeds all understanding. As Christians we are not exempt from the trials and troubles of life and nor are we ensured an unchallenging journey. So yes, we will feel the weight of worry from time to time. The things we worry about are not inconsequential or insignificant. It is a natural tendency for us to lean towards allowing ourselves to worry and disquiet our souls. Worry can exist in our lives with alarming ease of we do not intentionally look to Jesus and what His word assures us of. So we must remind ourselves that our Heavenly Father has our best interest at heart and trust in His character and promises. In the Kingdom of God, no one earns their salvation. It is purely a gift given to us by the grace and mercy of God. And everyone deserves Christ to be shared with them.
