Divine law is the basis of all freedom, including food freedom. President Spencer W. Kimball taught that "absolute truth cannot be altered by the opinions of men...if men are really humble, they will realize that they discover, but do not create, truth." The practice of nourishment itself is not hard, but the resistance, commitment and expectations that surround it sometimes are. So, it's no wonder we need Christ's grace--the power to do all things through Him which strengthens us--every step of the way.

During my food journey, I learned how to rely on God's power instead of my own willpower as I practiced continuous abstinence from sugar and flour. A popular talk by Brad Wilcox titled, "His Grace is Sufficient," came into my life and opened my eyes to HOW God's power and grace were supporting me in my efforts to create food freedom. Call me crazy, but the spiritual nature of my journey to food freedom has led me to believe that vegetables and whole plant foods are like the gospel of Jesus Christ. In this episode, I explain more about how I gained this perspective and how striving to center my life on Him made nourishing my physical body easier.
