Curt tackles The Princess Bride.  We honestly have two fairly comparable movies this week.  We spend a lot of time discussing the downsides of nostalgia and some time covering Highlander, unfortunately.  Except for Lee... he can't get enough of Highlander.

Zak tackles The Phantom.  Turns out Zak DID kinda know this movie, because Lee and Seth talk about it constantly, but here we are anyway.  One is a full-goof comic book remake, and one's a social and political commentary-laden hero's journey.  Clearly we really planned ahead for this holiday episode.

Lee tackles King of California.  This week is chock full of fun, with a lunacy-treasure-hunt on one side and a political thriller on the other.  Tune in to see how ends up on top for this weirdly new yet largely unknown movie.

Seth tackles Chill Factor.  On the one hand we've got a very cool psychological thriller and on the other hand, shit... I dunno, I think we already forgot.  This week we discuss what even constitutes "entertainment" and then Seth does some cool shit to redeem us, thank god.  Tune in to experience Hollywood's existential crisis and also a pretty cool on-the-spot plot.

Jess tackles Rushmore.  She done it again folks... she done broke the format, and for the best.  Tune in this week as Jess takes a cool meta gaslighting approach to describing her movie to us, and then also we talk a bunch about Rushmore, of course.

Zak tackles The Man Who Fell to Earth.  Perhaps unexpectedly, we're focusing on space this week -- the two plots disagree on one point: how many hot-sex-aliens is the right amount?  Tune in this week to find out what these plots hold and hit us up on twitter with who you think the sexiest alien is.

Lee tackles Pelican Brief.  There's birds, there's Cynthia Nixon being a hippie, there's birds, there's... yeah, no that's pretty much it.  Massive cast this week, tune in to see how Lee and a wildly famous author handle it. It's a doozy.

Seth tackles Renaissance Man.  On one side we have a period piece, on the other a modern day fish-out-of-water; megalomania features prominently in both stories.  There are a lot of characters in these movies, tune in this week to soak up all these good hijinx.

Marielle tackles Phantom of the Paradise.  We've got another two plots that are technically pretty close this week.  The differences should become clear quickly, as one sounds like "an actual movie" and the other is "completely insane nonsense".  We got this spooky-tober one out a SMIDGE late, but we hope you enjoy it anyway.

Zak tackles True Stories.  This week both movies have a bit of a meandering feel to them, but with varying amounts of "ridiculous vanity project.  The votes are VERY split, as well, so tune into see who goes home the winner, and who is very sad that one of their friends likes bad movies.
