The guy literally walked on the Sea of Galilee. Sure he sank and Jesus had to save him, but Peter took the risk, stepped out of the boat, put his feet on the surface of the deep, and at least for a few seconds, walked on the water. And in so doing he experienced the power and presence of Jesus in a way he never had. Today it’s a call from Jesus to step out of the boat, out of your comfort zone to experience more of Jesus in you and through you.

First Brian was bullied as a freshman in high school and it brought him to the end of himself and to the beginning of Jesus’ power. Then, Shawna was terrified to get out of the boat, to take the risk of faith for fear of losing her family. Next, with some shaking knees Brian flew to New York City, sat down in a board room to ask the owners of a closed Kmart to give away that space to Engedi Church. Then, Brian didn’t know that in going shopping with his bride at Meijer that he would become a living parable of the Father’s heart!
