It's not anyone else's fault for how you react to something that they say, right? But it is on us to *think* about what we're saying before it leaves our mouths or in most cases, our fingers as we type them. Words have meaning and we don't think about that enough anymore. We're short and to the point or we abbreviate or we ignore. Maybe if we stepped back and took an additional minute it will help our conversations, and further our relationships overall.
