  • Ezekiel: A Sign of Israel's Exile
The sermon examines Ezekiel chapters 12 through 14, focusing on the prophet's dramatic actions as a sign of impending exile for King Zedekiah and the people of Jerusalem. It highlights God's judgment against false prophets who offer peace when there is none and elders who approach God with idols in their hearts. The preacher emphasizes that true repentance requires abandoning these hidden idols and trusting solely in God's covenant faithfulness rather than human righteousness. Despite the severity of divine judgment, the message offers hope through the preservation of a remnant that ultimately leads to the Messiah. The central call is for believers to examine their own hearts for idols and cling to Christ as the only refuge from God's wrath.

  • Build Your House on the Rock
The sermon explores the practical application of Jesus' teachings in Matthew 7, emphasizing that true faith is demonstrated through action rather than mere profession. It contrasts the broad path of cultural conformity with the narrow gate of biblical truth, warning against false prophets who may appear righteous but lack genuine spiritual fruit. The preacher argues that believers must evaluate themselves and others by their deeds and the consistency of their lives with Scripture, rather than relying on outward appearances or popular opinion. Ultimately, the message stresses that only those who hear Christ's words and put them into practice build their lives on a secure foundation that withstands life's inevitable storms.

  • The Sons of God, Part 3
Continuing his series on Romans 8, Pastor Robert McNutt takes up Romans 8:14, "For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God," insisting that the Apostle's aim is assurance: the believer's confidence of salvation rests on being led by the Spirit. But what kind of leading? Not force, not compulsion, not divine browbeating. Setting Luke 4:1 beside Mark 1:12, where the Spirit "drove" Jesus into the wilderness, McNutt works through the Greek, the lexicons, and parallel uses of the same word elsewhere in Matthew and Acts to show the term need carry no violence at all. There is such a thing as the force of persuasion: the love of Christ constrains us, yet never assaults us. The Spirit enlightens the mind and persuades the will so that we actually desire the things of God. Just as the prophets were "carried along" by the Spirit without mechanical dictation, so the Spirit sanctifies without coercion, and any interpretation that makes Him a bully contradicts the New Testament. Turning practical, McNutt asks how the Spirit leads, and answers: primarily not by private guidance about callings, but by the daily putting to death of the deeds of the body, and always in and through the written Word. Because the Spirit is the Spirit of truth, and because false spirits abound, every claim to revelation beyond Scripture, whether Roman traditions about Mary or zealous elders legislating where the Bible is silent, must be rejected. Sola Scriptura. The great test is not visions or ecstasies but an enlightened mind that knows God, feels conviction of sin, treasures Christ, reads the world through creation, fall, redemption, and recreation, and waits for His return as its only hope.

  • Fire in the Bones
The sermon exhorts ministers to move beyond intellectual cleverness and emotionalism to preach the Word of God anointed with the Holy Spirit's fire. Drawing primarily from Jeremiah 23, it contrasts false prophets who speak their own dreams with true messengers who stand in God's counsel and deliver His word with divine weight and power. The speaker argues that effective ministry requires personal intimacy with God to receive specific guidance for each congregation, rather than relying on cultural trends or numerical success. True preaching is characterized by a burning urgency within the preacher, resulting in sermons that penetrate hearts and produce genuine revival. Ultimately, only God can impart this spiritual fire, which purifies the church and validates the quality of pastoral work at the judgment seat of Christ.

  • Goliath's Mystery
The sermon contrasts the biblical account of David defeating Goliath with the prophetic teachings in 1 Thessalonians to illustrate the believer's victory over death and spiritual oppression. It emphasizes that Christians are appointed to suffer tribulation rather than escape it, yet remain secure in the promise of Christ's return. The speaker warns against false doctrines and charismatic excesses, urging believers to stay sober and grounded in Scripture. By connecting the number five in David's stones to the reality of death, the message highlights how faith delivers God's people from the power of evil. Ultimately, the teaching encourages steadfast hope and comfort in the assurance that believers will be with the Lord forever.

  • Study in Revelation #76
The sermon distinguishes between the first and second beasts of Revelation 13 as two separate entities rather than dual aspects of a single institution. The first beast represents the revived Western Roman Empire, characterized by political power and military force, while the second beast signifies the ecclesiastical authority of the Church of Rome, which operates through deception and false miracles. By analyzing biblical symbolism such as arising from the sea versus the earth, the text argues that these powers are distinct yet allied in opposing Christ. The speaker connects this second beast to the false prophet and the man of sin described in 2 Thessalonians 2. Ultimately, the message emphasizes sola scriptura as the essential safeguard for believers against religious deception.

  • Jonathan Shuttlesworth’s Crude Joke Exposes the Heart of a False Teacher
Word of Faith prosperity preacher Jonathan Shuttlesworth recently posted a crude response on social media after someone questioned him about his private jet. In this episode, Justin Peters examines that public statement in light of Scripture and explains what it reveals about the heart, character, and qualifications of a professing minister. Drawing from Ephesians 4:29, Ephesians 5:3–5, 1 Timothy 3, 2 Peter 2, and Jude, Justin considers the seriousness of filthy speech and coarse jesting, the biblical requirement that pastors be above reproach, and the sensuality, greed, and exploitation that characterize false teachers. Justin urges Christians to exercise biblical discernment, flee from prosperity preachers who bring reproach upon Christ, and judge every teacher according to the written Word of God. He concludes with a direct gospel appeal and a call to repentance, faith in Jesus Christ, and fruit consistent with genuine conversion. • Missionary Journeys
The sermon examines the first missionary journey of Paul and Barnabas, emphasizing that true ministry originates from the Holy Spirit's direction through the local church rather than human initiative. It highlights the critical importance of fasting and prayer as the church discerns God's will, warning against rushing ahead of divine guidance or prioritizing secular projects over evangelism. The preacher contrasts the fervent preaching of the gospel with the deceptive influence of false prophets like Elymas, illustrating how spiritual blindness serves as a judgment on those who oppose truth. Ultimately, the message challenges believers to maintain a serious, focused commitment to spreading the gospel, trusting that God can use even opposition to bring about salvation and demonstrate His sovereign power.
