  • Amos' Famine; TODAY
    God is Love; is a half-truth! When God Word is taken out of context; it automatically becomes a full lie! God does NOT love this sinful, corrupt, unbelieving, world; as we can see in John 17:9. Indeed, He Says in Gen. 6:6, that He so Hates this sinful world and corrupted man, that He does not Pray for it, and even that it repented Him, that He had even made mankind! O Hear and Fear!

  • Part 3: The Stance of our Church
    The sermon outlines the doctrinal stance of Milton Baptist Church by defining it as literalist, futurist, and fundamentalist. It argues for a strict literal interpretation of Scripture regarding creation, marriage, and church leadership while affirming future prophetic events like the rapture and millennial reign. The preacher emphasizes that believers must hold fast to these non-negotiable fundamentals despite cultural pressure to compromise or water down biblical truth. This fidelity requires strong spiritual leadership within homes and a commitment to biblical separation from false teachings. Ultimately, the message calls the congregation to remain solid in their faith to avoid becoming a hollow institution devoid of genuine conviction.

  • Beware of false teachers
    ~~~~~~~ No 28 in the series - The Epistles of Peter. ~~~~~~~ **Considering 2 Peter 2:1-3** But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. *1/ There were and will be false teachers. 2/ The influence they will have. 3/ The methods they will use.* **Sermon Summary:** This sermon issues a solemn warning to believers about the presence and danger of false teachers within the church. Drawing primarily from 2 Peter chapter 2, the text highlights how these individuals creep in unawares, promoting damnable heresies and exploiting congregants through covetousness and feigned words. The message emphasizes the critical need for spiritual discernment to distinguish between genuine doctrine and deceptive error, noting that false teachers often mimic true prophets and promise peace without requiring repentance. It urges the audience to test all teachings against Scripture rather than relying on a teacher's reputation or popularity. Ultimately, the sermon calls for vigilance to protect the truth of the Gospel and ensure personal fidelity to Christ amidst spiritual deception.
  • God's Precision Guided Arrow
    The sermon contrasts the faithful prophet Micaiah with the false prophets who flattered King Ahab, illustrating the danger of aligning with evil. It highlights how God allowed a lying spirit to deceive Ahab's court, leading to his death as a consequence of his wicked alliances. The narrative serves as a warning against fearing man or seeking comfort in lies rather than facing the uncomfortable truth of God's word. Ultimately, the message points to Jesus Christ as the one who absorbs God's judgment on behalf of believers, freeing them from fear and ensuring their safety.
  • The New Apostolic Reformation, Modern Prophets, and Counterfeit Revival
    The New Apostolic Reformation promotes modern apostles, continuing prophetic revelation, dominion theology, strategic-level spiritual warfare, and revival movements centered on extraordinary experiences. These teachings raise a foundational issue for every Christian: who possesses authority in the church? In this episode, Dave Jenkins examines the central teachings of the New Apostolic Reformation and contrasts modern apostolic and prophetic claims with the sufficient and authoritative Word of God. He also explains how genuine revival is marked by repentance, holiness, love for Christ, obedience, and renewed commitment to biblical truth. The church does not need celebrity apostles, new revelation, or counterfeit revival. It needs Christ, faithful preaching, sound doctrine, biblical local churches, and confidence in the Word God has already given.   • Jesse Duplantis’ False YouTube Claim Exposed
    Jesse Duplantis claimed that YouTube demonetized his channel because it was receiving too many views and that the platform told him he was outperforming Jimmy Kimmel. Justin Peters compares that claim with publicly available channel statistics and demonstrates the enormous disparity between the two audiences. He then addresses the deeper biblical issue: false teachers are repeatedly characterized by greed, deception, and the exploitation of those who trust them. In this episode of Sound Theology and Discernment, Justin explains why Christians must take dishonesty seriously, especially when it comes from someone who regularly claims to speak for God. Believers must test every teacher, every spiritual claim, and every alleged revelation by the sufficient and authoritative Word of God.     Revelation Chapter 1 1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: 2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. 3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
  • handling snakes - (2)
    The snake, (serpent), is the symbol, that God uses throughout Scripture, for Sin! The father of lies, has thousands of snakes, false doctrines, or false prophets to deceive mankind! In Scripture, Christians are shown the proper handling of snakes, false doctrines! Thus, when God Speaks of handling snakes, He is speaking of metaphorical discernment of unScriptural doctrines, and false prophets; NOT physically handling real snakes!
  • Distorted Perception: When the Heart Changes What the Eyes See | Matthew 13:53–58
    Why is it that people can have the truth standing directly in front of them and still fail to recognize it? In Matthew 13 and 14, we see a powerful principle: the condition of the heart can distort what the eyes see. When Jesus returned to His hometown, the people were astonished by His wisdom and mighty works, yet they could not get past their familiarity with Him. They knew His family. They knew where He had grown up. To them, He was still "the carpenter's son." Instead of allowing the evidence to change their perception of Jesus, they forced Jesus back into the category in which they had always placed Him. Their familiarity became a stumbling block that contributed to their unbelief. Then Matthew takes us immediately to Herod and Herodias. Herod hears about Jesus, but his guilty conscience causes him to conclude that John the Baptist has risen from the dead. Herodias sees John not as God's prophet, but as a threat because John exposed the sin she wanted to protect. Herod himself knows the people regard John as a prophet, yet fear, guilt, political pressure, and the opinions of others influence his actions. Nazareth looked through the lens of familiarity. Herod looked through the lens of guilt and fear. Herodias looked through the lens of rebellion and unrepentant sin. Different lenses—but the same result: distorted perception. In this message, Pastor Brandon Holthaus examines how familiarity, pride, guilt, fear, past experiences, and unrepentant sin can cause us to misinterpret people and even miss what God is doing right in front of us.
