Natalie is joined by Courtney Gilmartin for a conversation about Courtney’s experiences with family court during the divorce from her former husband. Courtney shares openly about how misogyny within the court system makes it extremely difficult for women to keep themselves and their children safe and separate from their abusers. A large part of the discussion will focus on how Courtney was treated by judges, lawyers, and other professionals for speaking out against the domestic violence she was experiencing. There will also be a conversation surrounding how abuse presents differently in each case but there are patterns that many abusers exhibit and follow.
