In this episode we discuss words that seem to shut people down when talking about sex and their desires or expectations in the bedroom. Do you have hang ups when it comes to certain terms or acts in the bedroom? We're not talking about hard limits, we're discussing the inability to truly hear your spouse's heart in the conversation because a word jumps out at you and your bias to the term causes you to shut down, essentially denying your spouse the opportunity to open up to you freely about his/her needs. Sex is a vulnerable topic, and sometimes words can be scary or cause us to shut down (remember trigger and buzz words apply here too). Let us help you figure out your biases and get back to being open to discussing sex with your spouse.

In this episode we discuss "Taboo vs Normal" in the bedroom. Is your sex life normal? The answer to this question is YES! because in truth, there is no "Normal" in sex. Your sex life is between you and your spouse. What's normal to you may not be normal to others but that doesn't make it wrong. If what you two do behind closed doors is consensual, intimate, and brings you closer together while adding to both your pleasure...how can it NOT be normal? It's time to break the silence on sexual conversation and broaden your mind to the possibilities in the bedroom.

Hey Man Vs Marriage Nation! Just a heads up, we had a little bit of an audio issue with Quincy's mic this week so please forgive the subpar audio. Everything will be back to normal next episode!
Listen as we discuss the internal dialogue and effects the outside influences in our lives had on Jeanne and my sex life. Hear how her own misinformation, perceptions, and insecurities kept her from opening up about her sexual needs and expectations FOR YEARS! Hopefully, hearing how these things affected my wife will help you to understand and inquire with your own about things that may have had or may still have an impact on your sex life and intimate connections.
