As we continue to deliver on our promise of great communication, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to share a serious GAME CHANGER for our relationship!
Buzz words! What are they? Interestingly enough these words and phrases were at one point TRIGGER WORDS ( shreek!!!) Now, not necessarily the current idea of trigger words we have today as an extremely thin-skinned society where nearly every utterance can be determined a micro aggression against humanity. These trigger words and phrases produced some horrible miscommunications with in our relationship. I am certain these stemmed in large part by our past experiences not only with our parents relationships but also our past relationships. Join us for this CAN’T miss episode!

We were taught early on the Value of engaging in hard talks, Coach Rita taught us some very valuable lessons in how not to take these talks personal and also make them productive. In the beginning we set a routine until we learned how to communicated these conversations more effectively, sadly we blew it several times and had to make amends and get back on track, but hey we all do right!?
Join us in this Game changing episode as we line out the big wins for having difficult conversations!

This is next level SHHHTuff right here! You have expectations in your mind for the things you want and need. The issue at hand is, your spouse can’t read your mind! As you up your game with communication it’s imperative that we learn to say what we expect or want ( within reason ☺ ) we must stop expecting people to know what’s going on in our mind and find the value in learning to articulate those things. Saying what you want without communicating what it looks like is “bush league” and we are aspiring to be better than that my men!

Is it true that women say 25,000 words a day? I am not sure on the most up to date science what I know living in a home with 8 females and 7 being teenagers is women talk a lot! Are men built for all listening? DO YOU listen? It has been said very wisely that God gave mankind 2 ears and 1 mouth so we can listen twice as much as we speak. There is a difference though in listening to someone and actually hearing what someone has to say, especially when it comes to your wife. In my conclusion dynamic listening includes: Listen(Full attentive concentration) Hearing (digesting and asking about what has been said) and engagement. These 3 keys will develop your swag when it comes to communicating at a higher level. This is crucial to intimacy, your wife wants to have a voice and she sure wants you to listen and “hear” what she has to say.

Have you ever wanted to say something to your spouse only to get to that moment and say something that crushed her and IT ISNT EVEN WHAT YOU MEANT TO SAY?!!! Or, have you gotten to that moment to speak and your mind buffers like crappy wifi and you can seem to get the words out at all? Let me tell you I am the king of both of those pleasant scenarios and either way you slice it, it sucks! This is why I developed the term, Say it Ugly and clean it up. This developed the proverbial “Mulligan” if you will to say something even when you don’t have a clue what it is supposed to sound like. Now, let’s get this out in the open, it is by no means a free pass to cuss your wife out, insult her in a horrible way and then pull back to say hey I told you it was ugly. NO, it’s actually a solid way to communicate hard or embarrassing situations/feelings that you just can’t seem to properly articulate.
