In this episode of Solid Ground, Simon shares highlights from the recent ‘Aspire’ conference in Sydney – a conference defending Western values where everything from human rights to political trends, energy policy and climate change where discussed. Simon talks of meeting several of the guests he has interviewed on the Family Matters podcast, including Sal Grover whose women-only app Giggle has become a critical legal battleground as biological men seek access to it – the infamous Giggle v. Tickle case! Simon also critiques “woke” intersectionality via a BAFTA incident involving John Davison who has Tourette’s, and the inspiration for the awarding winning film – I Swear. On the positive side of news, Simon reports that the UK’s euthanasia legislation is likely to fail in the House of Lords due to opposition and time running out. He then discusses Iran after Israeli and US strikes, arguing the Islamic regime is evil, exports terror, suppresses citizens, and cannot be trusted in nuclear negotiations.
