"Life is much kinder than what we make it to be, and time is our best friend. Because time allows us to heal, to learn, to grow, and improve, and it allows us to cherish the precious moments of our lives. Every day is a once-in-a-lifetime to be lived. Do what you have to do, but never feel that you missed your chance. Even if it takes you a hundred years to achieve what you want, would it not be worth it?" - Moises Tovar
Guest: Moises L. Tovar
I'm a Mexican-American actor, born in Mexico and raised in Utah. I always had a desire to act in film at a very young age, though I was very shy. Performed in my very first theatre production of The Hollow in high school. Around 2012 is when I decided to fully pursue my career in acting and joined McCarty Talent Agency. Since then I've worked on commercials, industrials, and films.

In this episode of the Family Health and Hustle Podcast, Anthony discusses the importance of nurturing relationships proactively before conflicts arise. He shares personal insights from his marriage, mentioning how he and his wife, after hearing about friends attending annual marriage retreats, decided to meet with a counselor to address and prevent issues, even though they weren't in crisis. The episode introduces guest Sonnet, a licensed marriage and family therapist, who emphasizes the value of premarital and marital education to prevent major relationship problems. Sonnet discusses her background, including her own divorce and battle with cancer, which inspired her to help others maintain healthy relationships. She highlights the significance of communication, understanding love languages, and the interplay between physical and emotional health in nurturing relationships. The conversation also touches on societal pressures, the benefits of therapy, and the role of community in supporting personal and relational growth. Anthony Hernandez relaunches his podcast, "Family Health and Hustle," discussing how life's seasons prompt personal and professional changes. He explains his absence was due to a job transition where he was asked to switch roles amidst industry struggles, ultimately leading him to focus entirely on his frozen dessert business. This transition was not without its challenges; scaling from part-time to full-time required significant learning and adaptation, including missed opportunities and financial management. He emphasizes the importance of learning from life's adversities rather than just attributing them to external factors. Anthony commits to create a comprehensive resource hub at familyhealthandhustle.com for those balancing family, health, and personal goals. He encourages persistence and community support in facing life's hurdles.

I tend to dive in when I'm working. I just work, work and I work. Sometimes I forget the reason why I'm working so hard... Good thing my wife is the perfect counter balance to me. Every so often she pulls me out of the weeds and forces me to take a vacation. Which is the perfect time to reset my mind and refocus on why I am so motivated to accomplish my goals.
I recently took 2 fun back to back weekend vacations, with a little unexpected surprise right in the middle. Join me today as I share the new adventure it seems I am beginning.

Hustle or Hobby? You get to pick which one to focus the most on. For me, the hustle is a driving factor for daily decisions. For many years I was ok with the prospect of the 9-5 job. But participating in a family business planted a seed that has lingered in my mind for years. This seed has come to the surface on many occasions. Finally after years I have figured out what it meant.

Every so often you maybe struck with a deep desire to pursue a goal or dream. Many of us, brush it off and keep following the "safe path". But what would happen if you followed that gut feeling? Its not guaranteed that the path will be easy. In fact it will most certainly be the opposite. However, imagine all the things you will learn and experience. Think about the person that will emerge at the end of that journey. Now that is the exciting!
On today's show, we discuss following your gut and pursuing hard goals that can bring happiness and fulfillment.
Today's guest is Jill Putnam.
