How to prepare our children for Virtual Learning?
For many families, back to school planning will look different this year than it has in previous years. Your school will have new policies in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19. In this episode we will provide you with a checklist made by the CDC to help support parents, guardians, and caregivers, plan and prepare for the school year. We will also talk with Emeli Solis. Emeli is a Mental Health Clinician for DuPage County Health Department and she provides counseling services for families of District 33 in West Chicago.

During this episode we will recognize stress is a natural part of life and we sometimes have only limited control over stress, we'll identify stressors in our own lives and explore ways to cope with those stressors, understand when unrealistic expectations are placed on children and ourselves, it can create stress onvall family members, learn to identify signs of stress in children, understand ways in which we can help children develop their own coping skills for dealing with stress, recognize ways in which families and their members can support one another during times of stress, recognize ways in which families can gain support within the community during times of stress.
