Family Worship

Today is Resurrection Sunday, the most important date in the Christian calendar.

Our Easter Sunday massage comes from Alistair McNally, who is the campus pastor of Hillsong Brisbane City.

Easter Sunday is the most disruptive truth in history - Jesus rising from the dead is a powerful demonstration of God's victory over sin, death and every power that stands against his Kingdom.

Hillsong Brisbane City meets Friday evenings at 7pm, and Sundays at 10am. Interpretations in Korean, Spanish & Portuguese are available in the Sunday service.

Today's special Good Friday message comes to us from Paul Clark, Rise 96.5's At The Top guy.

In this message, Paul looks at how the life, death and resurrection of Jesus changed the trajectory of the world from violence to love.

Jesus shows us that there is another way to live - a world where power manifests through love, where kindness was king, where selflessness was crowned and where generosity was rewarded.

On this Palm Sunday episode, we reflect on the powerful truth that our King came low.

Joined by Aran Puddle, we explore the humility of Jesus as He entered Jerusalem, not in power, but in peace.

Aran Puddle is a music teacher at Brisbane Christian College, teaching and mentoring young worship musicians in the school's chapel service worship teams.

What does it mean for us to follow a King who chose servanthood over status? Aran shares insight, encouragement, and practical ways to live with the same posture today.

Today's Family Worship message invites you to rethink greatness, embrace humility, and celebrate a Saviour who meets us right where we are.

How many people did you really notice in the last week?

For those who live in a city, you could drive or walk past tens of thousands of people in a week without ever really noticing them... unless they do something wrong.

It's easy to go unnoticed in a crowd, but in this message Jason Elsmore speaks about how Jesus would notice people in a crowd.  Even when Jesus was being mobbed by a crowd, he would pay attention to people and their needs.

This message is all about the woman in the crowd who needs healing, and doesn't go unnoticed. You can read about her story in Luke Chapter 8.

Jason Elsmore leads Gateway Baptist Church along with his wife Susan.  Jason is also the Director of Queensland Baptists.  Gateway Baptist Church is a multi-campus church, with locations at Mackenzie, Redlands, Ormeau, Logan, Brisbane City as well as online.

Wherever we turn, there seems to be challenges everywhere.  Wars, inflation, political unrest - it can sometimes feel like life never gets any easier.

How should Christians respond to God when times get tough?  Have you ever thought you'd like to have a Q&A session with God?

Lorraine Pfeffer is the caretaker pastor and counsellor at Ashgrove Baptist Church in Brisbane's inner north-west.

In this message Lorraine looks at the Old Testament prophet Habakuk, and his lament at the injustice he sees around him.

We all know the story of the woman who was brought before Jesus, having been caught in the act of adultery.

Jesus' response to her accusers are some of his most well known words - 'let those of you without sin cast the first stone'.

This is an example of someone looking into the face of Jesus and seeing the grace of God extended to humanity. It's also the story of how our worst days can also turn into our best days.

John Scott is one of the pastoral team at City Lights Church in Stafford. City Lights Church is a group of imperfect people responding to a personal revelation of Jesus. They believe that healthy churches are places where people can BELONG, THRIVE and SHARE.
