Even if many Irishmen don’t really like their country to be remembered because of this historical event, we should acknowledge it as one of the biggest events in the history of the human race, not just Ireland’s history.

Yes, we’re talking about The Great Irish Famine and how this event affected millions of people from all over the World.

Her family originated from Donegal and moved shortly after the Famine Times to the United States of America, sadly with the loss of some family members. Rachel came back to Ireland in 2014 and told us a little about her trip here.
