    Andy Farnsworth joins KSL-TV to help audiences decipher #WhatToWatch for the weekend of August 13, 2021. After ages of delays, “Free Guy” is the fun and funny movie we need right now. Ryan Reynolds carries the movie with his wide-eyed innocence, likeability, and humor. The story by Matt Lieberman and Zak Penn is very engaging with plenty of fun visual easter eggs and pop culture references scattered throughout. Now if you're feeling the itch for more Marvel content, Disney Plus’s there again to help you scratch it with the first episode of the “What if…?” animated series. And lastly, Star Trek fans finally get some new content! Season two of the animated series "Star Trek: Lower Decks" premiered this week on Paramount plus streaming.

After the painful flop of DC Comics & Warner Bros Pictures “Suicide Squad” in 2016, the studios decided to reboot the concept with a different and highly successful Marvel movie director (James Gunn of “Guardians of the Galaxy” fame) and he was given almost carte-blanche to do what he wanted, apparently with no restraint. Thus resulting in “The Suicide Squad” a hyper-violent & bloody sequel Is for hardcore fans only.     Amazon’s ‘The Tomorrow War’ moved from a Christmas theatrical release to its current streaming Independence Day weekend release due to the complications of the COVID pandemic. Switching up the timing of the release seems appropriate as the science fiction film includes a lot of time travel itself. The action-packed movie starring Chris Pratt and Yvonne Strahovski boasts a solid premise, familiar apocalyptic elements, and don't forget alien gore. The biggest complaint Andy has for this review on KSLTV, is probably that he wishes he could see it on the big screen as it is not available in movie theaters.
