(00:00-13:13) On today’s Afternoon Show, the word of the day is “pause”. First you have to pause on the first Phillies game without Bryce Harper. He’s expected to miss and extended period of time and the Phillies did play well yesterday but pause. We all have to see how the team responds long term. Kyle Schwarber can’t be the only player to step up his game. Also, the Durant availability is gaining some traction after Kyrie Irving’s latest stance. If Durant does become available, Tyrone wants the Sixers to pause on pursing any other player until you know if you can or cannot somehow attain Kevin Durant. Jen is still out so Connor is with Tyrone today. Connor gives his thoughts.
(13:16-29:31) Connor introduces today’s Twitter poll. What does an extended injury absence for Bryce Harper mean for the Phillies chances this season? Will they still make the playoffs, come up just short, play under .500 baseball or fall completely apart? The early leader is that the Phillies will come up just short. Tyrone and Connor give their opinion and also continue to talk about possible players the Sixers could move. The conversation turns to Matisse Thybulle.
(29:41-43:02) Phillies reporter for The Philadelphia Inquirer Scott Lauber joins the show. He talks about the status of Bryce Harper, how the team will respond on the field, retaliation for hitting Bryce and more!
