Our last ACOTAR recap before book six!!

Loretta is back from New York with approximately zero reading progress to show for it (unless you count the plane ride sleeps), while Emyli was left to finish Burn of the Everflame ALONE... The betrayal! The drama! And that’s only the beginning of this week’s episode of FanCastic: The Fan Casting Podcast.

First, we’re recapping an absolutely WILD week of Dancing with the Stars. We saw the lift and it wasn't the one everyone thinks. We are also screaming, crying, and throwing up over the VERY CORRECT Fourth Wing TV series casting reveal. Emilio and Esther are our Xaden and Violet!! We have thoughts, feelings, and absolutely no chill about it.

Then, it’s time for our main event: a (we mean it this time) QUICK recap of A Court of Frost and Starlight before getting into the REAL business of A Court of Silver Flames. We’re highlighting the moments, details, and suspicious little breadcrumbs we think you need to pay attention to as we prepare for A Court of Splintered Harmony. Sarah J. Maas, what are you plotting girl? Are the worlds overlapping? Which theories are we buying into? And what does it ALL mean for the future of the Maasverse?

If you love romantasy, fantasy, Sarah J. Maas, bookish commentary or if you know all things  ACOTAR but need a nice refresh for the new books, this is another must watch and listen for you.

This episode contains ACOTAR full series spoilers.

INSIDE THE EPISODE:

•  ✨ End of Burn of the Everflame
•  ✨ Dancing With the Stars: Lifts drama!

It’s time to go to WAR, baby!

Welcome back to FanCastic: The Fan Casting Podcast, where we fan cast all your favorite fantasy, Romantasy, and fiction!

This week we are getting down and dirty in the battle for Prythian with a very vibe-based, FULL-SPOILER recap of A Court of Wings and Ruin (ACOWAR) by Sarah J. Maas.

We’re loudly screaming over the tragic moments, celebrating the characters we love, and getting VERY passionate about the ones we love to hate. We also put on our detective hats as we piece together the hidden lore surrounding the Death Gods, mating bonds, that ancient Fae warrior, and one fiery cursed Queen who decides to roll up to the party.

But, before we head into battle, we’re catching up on our Burn of the Everflame reading progress, sharing our reactions to The Love Hypothesis movie, and getting BIG MAD about last week’s Dancing with the Stars elimination.

If you love romantasy, fantasy, Sarah J. Maas, bookish commentary or if you know all things  ACOTAR but need a nice refresh for the new books, this is another must watch and listen for you.

This episode contains ACOTAR full series spoilers.

Season 2 has come to an end, and we're wrapping things up the best way we know how: with one final fan cast, plenty of bookish discussion, and a heartfelt thank you to the listeners who made this season so special.

This week on FanCastic: The Fan Casting Podcast, Loretta and Emyli look back on some of their favorite moments from Season 2, revisit standout fan casts, share the books that completely took over their lives, and squeeze in a little New York Knicks appreciation with a special "Think Fast" fan cast.

Then it's time for the main event: our Season 2 finale fan cast for Heat of the Everflame by Penn Cole. As we continue our journey through the Kindred's Curse Saga, we're casting some of the characters we hope play an even bigger role in Burn of the Everflame. Along the way, we discovered just how in sync we've become as co-hosts when we landed not one, but TWO identical casting picks.

As we close out our second season, we want to thank every single listener who has joined us for this adventure. Whether you've been with us since Episode 1 or just recently discovered FanCastic, thank you for every stream, download, review, comment, and share. Reaching 30 episodes this season has been an incredible milestone, and we're so grateful to have built this community of readers, dream casters, and fandom enthusiasts alongside you.

While we're on summer break, you can keep up with our current reads, bookish adventures, convention coverage, and behind-the-scenes shenanigans on Instagram. You can also find us this summer at Forbidden Love in Nashville and Books Gowns & Crowns in San Diego before we return this fall for Season 3.

Be sure to follow FanCastic wherever you listen to podcasts, leave a rating and review, and connect with us on social media so you don't miss any updates while we're away.

We'll see you this fall for Season 3. Until then, happy reading!
