FAMU Football & Volleyball got much needed wins this week and we hosted a ton of recruits on what was supposed to be a rain filled day turned into a beautiful night for a win in Bragg.

Florida A&M is badly in need of a victory standing at 0-2 after the Orange Blossom Classic in Miami, FL.   This now comes to a head as FAMU plays its home opener against Albany State University in Bragg Stadium.   Albany State is well coached and could pose a problem for the Rattler football team.   Along with the home opener, multiple fall sports are kicking off and some still do not have full time coaches.   And WE STILL DO NOT HAVE AN ATHLETIC DIRECTOR!

In what proved to be a Molly Woppin in Miami, FAMU proved to be overmatched against Jackson State in this contest.

The FAMU Football team traveled to Chapel Hill, North Carolina to play the Tar heels.   And the story of the game was how well the team played in the face of overwhelming circumstances.   The Volleyball team also traveled to Kansas to play in a tournament and came away with no wins but a great experience.

The season opens with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the recruiting dead period has ended.   Considering how aggressive has been on the recruiting trail this means we should expect to see more offers coming from FAMU.   FAMU will also start a Volleyball tournament in Kansas which creates the opportunity for the FAMU volleyball team to prepare against strong nonconference opponents.   And Money Man Moussa has been named QB 1 for the first game of the Season!

The FAMU Volleyball team opened the season with a Victory at Home against The University of West Florida and the Florida weather got the best of FAMU’s FAN Day.   But Wannish Way Willie had drip for sale to take your mind off of that.

Football, Volleyball & Cross-country season are about to start.   I have talked about each game and let us do a recap before the season starts to find what our final prediction will be.   We also have fan day this have Fan Day & the Grape Harvest on Saturday.  Also one of the greatest Rattlers in FAMU history is a finalist for the NFL Hall of Fame.

Florida A&M University finishes the regular season by playing against Bethune-Cookman in Orlando. This game is a benefit huge for both the universities and the city of Orlando and the prevailing question is if the universities could get a bigger piece of the economic pie.   Beyond that is the game outcome. After a Decade and Covid restrictions, FAMU was able to defeat the Wildcats.   We have to talk about this weekend and the events surrounding it.   Also FAMU had two players play in the NFL and the question of how to promote this and celebrate it should be asked.

Fan Day will soon be happening on the Highest of Seven Hill, this event allows those in the community to meet the players associated with the program.   Along with this event the Annual Grape harvest will be taking place.   Also what about this Alabama State game & Bragg Needs to be expanded to Seats for the future.
