There has been a lot of negative energy out there, but the start of the Phoenix Suns' 2021-2022 season is upon us and there is a ton to look forward to. We cover it on this episode of Fanning the Flames as we discuss:

Our outlook on the team heading into opening night;

Why the Deandre Ayton situation is not a doomsday event (D'Aaron Fox, anyone?);

Our thoughts on the first night of NBA games; and

Our picks for the Suns' upcoming week of games (in our friendly competition with the Suns JAM Session)..

Devin Booker has ascended into a perennial NBA Allstar at the SG position. But is he the best SG in the NBA? Chapin, Brandon and Fonz of Here Come the Suns explore and debate. Next we predict totals for wins, playoff success, Allstars, and individual accolades for the Phoenix Suns this season. After that, we'll rate the Nets chances to offload Kyrie for a meaningful piece, Ben Simmons finally showing up to camp, and who has a better shot, Brooklyn without Kyrie, or the eastern conference field. In a new segment, we will tell you what Frank Vogel and Steve Kerr really mean by their recent quotes about the Westbrook and Lebron pairing, as well as decode Deandre Ayton's recent quote about being disappointed. We then gripe about what we are sick and tired of. Finally, find out during the Basketball IQ trivia challenge if Chapin must complete 6 straight freethrows on camera.

Deandre Ayton is disappointed. But hey, we're all disappointed. And while we said weeks ago we wouldn't, we'll spend one more episode talking about DA's extension. More particularly, we get into DA's recent comments about not having a deal done.

We also dive into ESPN's NBA Future Power Rankings and play a little game where Dan tries to justify why each of the five teams were ranked ahead of the Suns by ESPN.

Welcome to a brand new podcast on the Bright Side Network. Chapin, Brandon and Fonz deliver some bold and fiery takes in this initial episode of Here Come the Suns. First we discuss the catalyst for last season's amazing run, but also what prevented the Suns from finishing the job. Next we dive into their most meaningful offseason addition, but what the team is still lacking. Next we have a full scouting report from the Suns convincing win over the Lakers this past Wednesday afternoon. Our attention then turns to the rest of the NBA and we rank either compliment or tear into Lakers filling their rosters with very old HOFers, Ben Simmons demanding a trade, Clipper chances without Kawhi this year, can the Suns take down LAL and BKN, and finally the Deandre Ayton max contract dispute. In our next segment, we vent about what we are sick and tired of in today's NBA. We wrap up with an intense trivia challenge and a fun Joe Johnson back to the Suns take to end the podcast. Please enjoy the show! #HCTSpodcast

We discuss it all, and more, on this episode of Fanning the Flames.

If you're a Suns fan, is it acceptable to also be a fan of a non-Arizona team in another sport (e.g., the Los Angeles Chargers)? That's where we start on this episode of Fanning the Flames, and the fun follows from there. In addition, we also discuss:

The moments that got us hooked on the Suns;

If we had to choose between Mikal Bridges and Cameron Johnson, which one we would take; and

Suns futures and the best value picks.
