  • Fantastic Neighborhood 131 – The Convention Scene
We want to podcast. We got them pods deep within us and we need to get them out. But we are going to temper our expectations and start slow. Maybe one, one and a half a month. Gotta ease back into it.
This weeks months podcast has us recollecting some of our favorite parts of GDC and PAXEast, talking about the games we are playing right now, and Jon’s parenting skills.
And as always, you can reach us at [email protected], or by calling 720.HOODIE.6 (720.466.3436). Follow Fred, Jon, & the show on Twitter, and like us on Facebook. If you’d prefer to get us on Tumblr, we are there. Subscribe and rate us on iTunes, and now on Google Play.

  • Jon at GDC Day 1
Jon went to GDC. Jon. Anderson. GRRRR….
In keeping with our storied tradition, he is reporting his day one wrap up of the games hes played and the things what he has seen with his special co-host and games journalist Tyler Treese (@tylertreese). Not me, the guy who he started podcasting with.
The show image represent betrayal. That is all. Enjoy your podcast built on lies.

  • Fantastic Neighborhood 130 – Surviving 2016
It’s been a while. Truth be told we did record a different episode 130 before this one, but fate had other plans and wiped our recordings out. But we had to get together to discuss this year didn’t we? Yes we did.
This episode we are also joined by young Alex O’Neil who helps us count down the least worst of 2016. Enjoy! Or don’t! 2016 really was kinda rough.

  • Fantastic Neighborhood 129 – No Man’s Podcast

Space. The final fro… SPACE! GONNA GO TO SPACE!
In this episode Fred and Jon wax poetically about all the space games, the space movies, and being pandered to with 80’s nostalgia. They had space in the 80s!
Jon also shamelessly plugs his new podcast, The Bro-C, the best and probably only The O.C. re-watch podcast on the earth. But not in space. If you are in space you should check it out though at www.thebro-c.com!

  • Fantastic Neighborhood 128 – The Return
Look, I’m not saying that there is a direct connection between us not recording new episodes and how horrible everything in the world has become, but you cannot deny the correlation.
So just to make sure we are doing everything we can to bring joy to the rest of the world, WE’RE BACK! New games, new show format, same old hosts. Well, mostly the same. Jon wears tank tops now, and Fred is recording it an echoy room (Hes gonna fix that next episode. Promise.) but it still the same discussion and banter you love!
So join us once again as we discuss some games and maybe some other stuff here on Fantastic Neighborhood!

  • Fantastic Neighborhood 127 – The Last Episode
We don’t want you to be sad, but this is going to be our last regularly scheduled episode. But we decide to see it though to the end so this week we talk about Lego: Dimensions, Rock Band 4, and Star Wars: Battlefront.
In Gameclub we play thought The Last of Us: Left Behind and discover that seeing friendship survive throughout hardship will make you more empathetic to lesbians. At least that was one of our takeaways.
We reminisce a bit about how 127 regular episodes, several gaidens, and a couple of specials has changed us, and really how the world has changed since we started all this. And fear not, because we are still going to make content for the site and for our fans, but probably not a weekly show. It was a fun ride while it lasted, and now it is just going to be a different ride.

It has been a big week of playing actual games, drinking wine, and painting toenails, but let’s focus on the first part. We talk Evoland 2, Rocket Leagues, Lego Dimensions, and several, several Metal Gear games. Jon also gets hooked on Amiibos. Poor sad Jon.
