Fantasy Throwdown Podcast

I finally get around to talking about the NBA Draft and free agency news although to be fair I am not getting some of the buzz being generated at the moment. The Bucks pretty much confirmed Giannis' departure with the botched sign and trade deal with the Kings unless a miracle happens.

My thoughts on the Masters tournament and the DFS slate this year. It figures to be a 3 studs build type of tournament this year as I believe there is a pack of players that will separate themselves from the rest of the group. Should be an entertaining tournament regardless even without fans present.

My thoughts on the upcoming slate and where I think there are some value plays and bets.

The time for excuses is over at this point. We are 20+ games into the Daniel Jones era with 36 turnovers with the vast majority of which are simply inexcusable. Tampa Bay had a complete letdown game looking ahead to the Saints on SNF and the Giants should have won by double digits with even an average QB. The Giants are not nearly as inept as some teams in the league but the QB position is without question the area that has to be addressed in the upcoming draft.

After recording last night, news broke that not only did Justin Turner tested positive for COVID-19 but was on the field celebrating violating every protocol under the sun. While the media is covering that aspect I am going to take a different approach and look at the situation MLB was under during the game last night and the results are not pretty. This is certainly a rabbit hole of a hot take but shenanigans certainly took place last night the extent of which should be investigated further.

Listen the Dodgers were the better team no one is disputing this but this will go down in history as one of the worst managerial decisions in MLB postseason history to pull Blake Snell prematurely. This one is irrefutably a colossal brain cramp on multiple levels by Kevin Cash that cost this World Series going 7 games.

While we still mourn the loss of having Bill O'Brien to make fun of regularly we do need to acknowledge that Adam Gase is still employed as an NFL head coach as we target the Jets for DFS and prognosticating purposes.

Recording this one in the aftermath of Sunday Night Football and the Vikings' imploding on national TV and all but ending their season already. I go behind the decision-making process and why it was flawed from the outset. Plus I take my loss with the Lakers inevitable title win in the NBA bubble.

Today I talk about the Yankees struggles in the postseason yet again and what they should be doing vs. what they will likely do instead. I also give a brief preview of the upcoming NFL slate but it does not look pretty.
