Far From Fact

The lads can’t seem to resist the charms of an attractive IRCTC story. After all the machine does dispense pizzas for the on-the-go pizza junkie. They are back at it with full-bodied ignorance, as they scratch their beards over espionage via femme fatale, followed by a quick trip around Nike’s new shoes that lace themselves for you.

Surveillance, hacking and sci-fi love take centre stage this week on Far From Fact. The lads apply themselves with customary rigour as they go about breaking down IRCTC’s latest move to install cameras in the pantry car. Next, they ponder hard about the hackers who use wax hands to fool finger scanners, before finally trying to make sense of a Japanese individual who has taken a holographic AI assistant as his wife.

It’s a new year and new episode of top-drawer nonsense, masquerading as analysis. The lads set the year in motion with an African grey parrot that has befriended Alexa, a young man in Noida who poses as an IAS officer to get his work done, and lastly the case of the lizard tucked into a muffin at the airport lounge in Delhi.

The lads take a walk down memory lane, all nostalgic and teary-eyed. Catch this Christmas Special, Best-of episode with some of our favourite bits of crazy.

The lads are off to a flying start with a topical non-issue and they try their best to stir some trouble with the oh-so-dreaded Office Secret Santa. Next up is the Zomato delivery person who took the nation by storm with his tasting skills, and lastly the Russians get caught red-handed with a fake robot - Team FFF swoops right in to make a mockery of the mockery.

Back with an international piece, this week takes the lads to a peculiar story from Nigeria where the President goes missing for 5 months. As expected, their untrusting noses smell a rat, as they speculate away with much ignorance. Then there is the fascinating story of a young man who has inserted a compass and a bluetooth chip onto his chest so he can ‘feel’ the north. And lastly, the rather creative kindergarten teacher from Gurgaon who’s in trouble for taping the mouths of two schoolchildren.

This week the lads take on some international issues. Up top you'll find them pondering about Google's foray into mosquito breeding - Not a typo. Followed by their take on Patanjali's take on jeans. And finally a much-needed discussion about China's attempt at gene editing.

On the one hand there is the sensitive issue of a murdered American on the coast of a remote Indian island, and on the other there is the Black Friday sale. But the lads tackle both ends of this seriousness spectrum with equal ignorance. Then there is the curious case of NRI husbands abandoning their wives, and the lads may have a real solution on their hands this time - but we hope you will forgive them.
