Months later, Camila is off at college and is able to count on Elaina like she used to. But at Obsidian, the DOD has gotten their hands on "Sample B-X" for better... or worse.

Dr. Proctor reveals the truth about "Sample B-X" and invites Elaina to join him in his plot to study the lifeform and further human evolution, but only if she erases any evidence of Obsidian's wrongdoing.

The Aguilars enlist Chase to accompany them to the Obsidian press conference, where they plan to expose Dr. Proctor. But nothing goes as planned.

Cornered by Dr. Proctor, Camila and Ruben butt heads over whether to surrender Orion. Elaina reveals what she saw on the ISS, and the family resolves to expose the truth.

After a tragic development, the Aguilars struggle to help Elaina recover her supressed memories of the incident using Orion's data. Meanwhile, Dr. Proctor goes on the offensive.

Joseph Mims is brought to Obsidian for testing and observation. Ruben confronts his daughters about their reliance on Orion. But just as he's about to take it away, it reveals something shocking.

After growing closer with Chase, Camila confronts her loved ones. Elaina's strange behavior takes a turn for the worse.

After Camila and Chase's race to the desert, Elaina is brought back home. But things are far from normal.

An investigation is launched into Obsidian's handling of the ISS incident. Meanwhile, with Chase's help, Camila works to track down her mother and discovers that Orion is capable of more than she thought.

Dr. Proctor covers up evidence of what happened aboard the ISS. Meanwhile, Camila starts community college and struggles to keep her long-distance relationship with Julian afloat. Just when she's at her lowest, she hears from the one person who can make it right — but what she hears shakes her.
