Hurricane Delta  

Interaction with the Yucatan Peninsula has weakened Hurricane Delta.  The storm is now a Category 1 hurricane with sustained winds of 85 mph, according to the National Hurricane Center (NHC).   

The center of the storm is now over the southern Gulf of Mexico and strengthening is expected over the next 36 hours.   The official forecast from the NHC is for Delta to regain major hurricane strength with winds of 115 mph by Thursday night.   The storm is still expected to hit Louisiana Friday afternoon.

DONALD TRUMP SAYS  JUST LIVE WITH IT LIKE THE FLU  

Physicians responded with alarm to President Donald Trump's assertion on Twitter that Covid-19 is similar to the flu and that the United States is learning to live with it. 

The social media site later flagged the tweet with a warning.  "Comparing flu to Covid-19 is not only poor optics," Dr. Peter Chin-Hong, an infectious disease specialist at the University of California, San Francisco, said. "It's just morally reprehensible."

JOHNNY NASH I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW SINGER DEAD AT 80 

Johnny Nash, the guy who sang the incredibly happy and infectious 1970s #1 hit, "I Can See Clearly Now," has died.  The singer's son tells TMZ ... Johnny was at home Tuesday when he passed away of natural causes. No word on cause of death yet.  

Johnny was born in Houston and made his debut as a major label artist in 1957 with the single, "A Teenager Sings the Blues." However, it was his reggae-tinged hit that topped the charts in November of 1972, and stayed there for 4 weeks.

Eddie Van Halen -- the legendary guitarist and co-founder of Van Halen -- has died after a long battle with cancer ... TMZ has learned.  

Sources directly connected to the rock star tell us ... he died at St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica Tuesday. His wife, Janie, was by his side, along with his son, Wolfgang, his ex-wife Valerie Bertinelli, and Alex, Eddie's brother and drummer.

Jonathan Price Is another BLACK man shot by POLICE   

The family of Jonathan Price says he was fatally shot during an officer-involved shooting in Wolfe City on Saturday while he was breaking up a fight.  Authorities have released few details at this time, but said an investigation is underway into the officer-involved shooting in Wolfe City, which is about 15 miles north of Greenville in Hunt County.  

The Texas Rangers are investigating the shooting, and the officer involved has been placed on administrative leave until the investigation is completed.

FASHION DESIGNER KENZO DEAD AT 81 FROM THE INVISIBLE KILLER 

 The Japanese founder of the Kenzo fashion brand has died from Covid-19, according to a spokesman for the firm quoted by French media.  Kenzo Takada died at the American Hospital in Paris at the age of 81, his statement says.  

Known for his colourful graphic and floral prints, he was the first Japanese designer to gain prominence on the Paris fashion scene.
