Father's House Church Sermon of the Week episodes

  • Lay Down
This past Sunday pastor Greg Timms spoke about Christianity not being a solo sport but a family!
Jesus isn’t coming back for a whole bunch of individuals, He is coming back for His bride, His Church. How do we cover one another? Do we pray for one another? Do we look out to see who might have a need? We need to serve and lay down our lives for one another.

"Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends." - John 15:13

  • Starting Line
Life is often referred to as a race. Maybe you feel like you’re out on a long and lonely road with not much reserve left to keep going. Maybe you feel like you’re running a marathon that you’re not prepared for and you’ve never been so exhausted and so close to giving up. So how do we prepare to finish strong... How do we build endurance for every season of our lives. There will be uphills and we need to be spiritually fit and ready. Listen to this past Sunday's message by Denise Steyn as she shares on building endurance to finish strong.

  • Holy Spirit Filled
This past Sunday pastor Greg followed on from last week’s message and spoke about being filled with the Holy Spirit. God as a good Father will give the Holy Spirit to those who ask for it. We need two things to complete the mission God has given us here on earth. We need to be born again believers (LIFE), and we need to be baptized in the Holy Spirit (POWER).

  • The Secret Reward
There is a reward for those who diligently seek God. There is also a father of lies who will do everything to try and trip you and I up. Situations that can cause us to stumble and leave us wondering how do we finish strong. Here is the thing... There IS such a thing as finishing strong! God cares for us and wants us to succeed. Pastor Greg Timms took us back to the Bible to see what the Word of God says on how to avoid "Sinkhole Syndrome" so that we can finish strong!

  • I Was Not Aware of It
YES and YES, God is always speaking and listening to us. This is the answer to the message we heard from guest speaker Larry Lohmann this past Sunday. Larry Lohmann shared on a few personal accounts in his life of God specifically speaking through His Word to him. This brought great encouragement to Larry & Diane as God answered many questions and directed their steps in decision making over the past 40 years of their lives.

  • Think before you swallow
We hear so much about fake news, but do we pay attention to "Fake Truth"?

Who is at the center of the truth that we often hear?
Often Christians don’t really think things through, and we therefore really need to start discerning more accurately. It’s important for us to be washed by the Word on a continual basis. We are to keep God’s commands in our hearts as they will prolong our lives. If we submit to Him in our ways and He will make our paths straight.

  • The Blessing Plan
God has a plan for every area of life. The government of God’s Kingdom is based on Fatherhood. God’s heart and desire is for everyone to be provided for. He wants every nation on earth, every people group to be blessed. This past Sunday pastor John Scholtz shared with us how we the church now carry the promise of that blessing and that we are to be the source of blessing for the world. The problem is we want to live by miracles alone and not by principles. Pastor John Scholtz covered 3 aspects of giving found in the word of God; Firstfruits, Tithes and Offerings.

  • Greater
Guest speaker – Mark Scholtz shared with us this past Sunday that Jesus meant a little more when he said that we will do greater works than he did. We can so easily forget about the spectacular little moments that Jesus brings along our path each and every day. There are factory floors, school classrooms, hospital & boardrooms that God needs you and me to invite Him into.

  • Vision Sunday
Pastor Greg shared with us this past Sunday on how important vision is to God and that the Bible teaches us that people perish due to a lack of vision. Pastor Greg shared the vision for Father’s House as we move forward and we expanded on the following values. Love extravagantly, live victoriously, believe wholeheartedly and impact the world.

  • Being a Kid, and Raising Kids
This past Sunday pastor Greg Timms shared with us the that the best key to being the best parents or sons and daughters is to saturate ourselves in the very nature of Jesus Christ and God himself. How can we be the best parents that we can be? We looked at 3 different methods on this.

Control(Behavior Modification), Whatever(Freedom)
and Stewardship(Gift from God).

The latter being the model of the Kingdom for raising kids.
