Father's House Church Sermon of the Week

There is a default that we operate in without us realizing it and often it is a way of life that Jesus never designed for us to live by. You and I are designed for life in all it’s fullness as God intended. To prosper to be successful and it comes out of a place of living and resting in Him. IN HIM we discover our true identity. It’s in Him that we are fruitful. Jesus said that if we abide in Him and He abides in us our joy will be complete. Joy is only truly found in Him.

Without Faith it is impossible to please God. The Bible speaks about that we are to find out what pleases God. He has made us in His image. Everyone who comes to God must believe that He exists. God is in our everyday, because He promises to never leave us nor forsake us. If we gather in His name He will be there with us. If we worship in His name He will fill our worship. Jesus is a rewarder of those who earnestly seek Him. As we grow in intimacy with Him we can grow in our faith too. It is a choice to walk and live by faith. We need to live as Father pleasers.

Do we believe what God declares and what is available to us in Christ. There is so much more than we think. God wants us to announce with boldness and authority that there is freedom for anyone who is held captive by anything, restoration of sight to any one who is blinded by anything. If we want to live free and get to know God as Father we need to have forgiveness as a lifestyle and walk in that. A forgiveness lifestyle is the crucial missing piece.

The pain of society and civilization is because we have lost our Father - we need to turn our face towards God. When we turn our face towards Him our affections turn towards Him and our love will start to change and we will want what the Father has for us. We need to step out of the world and step into the Kingdom. We can’t have one foot in the world and one foot in the Kingdom. Jesus came to point us to the Father and introduce the Kingdom. He paid the price in full so that we can step into a relationship and fellowship with God our Father.

Jesus stepped into the world to change the current operating system which is broken and incomplete. God gives us His perfect operating system. There is a crucial piece that we need to get right - SYNC - we have to sync with Jesus. The Bible mentions different ways to sync - Jesus invites us to “come follow me.” Jesus also said if you will abide in me and my words abide in you. Jesus also said that we are to offer our bodies as living sacrifices and to surrender & live yielded to the Holy Spirit. Life becomes alive when we decide to sync our lives with Jesus. Our lives start to look different and we take on the characteristics of God’s kingdom.

As born again Christians we cannot live just with our pilot lights on. If we will be persistent in going after the things of God and the Holy Spirit we will receive it. God gave us the Holy Spirit so that we can have connection with Him. God won’t give us something else or something weird or evil, he will give us the Holy Spirit.

Why are we here on earth? What is our purpose here and do we know God intimately as Father? We all have a spiritual SPF - Son, Purpose & Father. What Jesus went through for us was so real and He felt the reality of the cross. Jesus said to the Father - Abba I trust you. The enemy will always try and temp us and cause us to doubt these 3 things and try to challenge our identities. But know that you are loved, forgiven and you belong!

God is saying to you today, “I am so Proud of You” your are loved for just being you. He means what He says. God wants us to feel light and free. God won’t let your problems devalue you! In this message we looked at 4 key points. Trouble will come, Cycle Back to Truth, Feel the Father's Pleasure and staying Connected.

You and I are in a fight and we have a coach and His name is Jesus. He is looking at us and reminding us that we are God’s chosen people. You and I are set apart, chosen by God and for God. He is for us and not against us. He can help us live and love the way no one else is.

There is a Father in Heaven who is constantly leaning into us. God wants to talk to us. He wants to show us things that we do not know right now. Things we haven’t seen or heard yet. We need to take time to hear from Him. He will lead us, guide us, gives us wisdom, insight and understanding. What would our lives look like if we took time to listen. He wants us to hear His voice.
