FatKidOnFire

The FKOF review:

"Snooka moves into hostile territory, bringing his artistic grime sequence out and about. Gunfingers are pointed at the faint of heart, as a murky atmosphere blends in with weighty sub tones. The mixture of both, together with a repetitive stab, forms the right formula for serious destruction on any dance floor - and of course the very reason why we share this with our following as a ‘FKOF Free Download'. Expect to here this banger in the basements around the globe soon…"

Been banging @snookamusic tunes on the FKOF Sessions show for the last few months, so when Tom hit us up with this (mastered) tune to give away we didn't hang about. Get to know this producer, he's got some heat!

A (long) while back, uncle @BunZer0 asked if we'd ever be up for guesting on his legendary FOB Show on @subfmradio. Life got in the way and a few years passed.

Well, a few weeks ago, the planets finally aligned and we managed to get a FKOF10 special guest mix done for the show. Here's Wil's 45m set, with tunes from us, friends and everything in-between. Hit the DL link for the track list and download.

Out to everyone that caught this live and to everyone that is sending us tunes! [email protected] for demos ;)

The man on the block @senncoria_dubz joins our friends over at @upriseaudio, with a monumental digital release, featuring some heavy-hitters of tracks. Eddy Seven's label is back after a short hiatus, and what a banging comeback so to speak.

Senncoria's 'The Myth' EP showcases a few interesting takes on Dubstep and without further a due, we happily premiere 'Pharaoh': a track that helps us to wander off to a different galaxy. A highly recommended buy, one fore the heads!

With 'UA041' set for release through all digital vendours on 02/10/2020, make sure to hit the buy-link attached to support this banger of a release.

FKOF Premiere!

FKOF fam @barom, who we signed on our second compilation CD 6 odd years ago, is rejoining @offswitchaudio for his debut solo release with the imprint after a track on their compilation last year.

The 'Don't Leave, Never Arrive Please' EP drops 02/10/20 and you can grab the pre-order, directly from the label, via bandcamp now.

Here's the full-length premiere of 'Agon'...

"Since his brief appearance on the ‘Synaesthesia’ compilation back in December last year, we have been eager to see Barom’s name to return to the Off-Switch Audio catalogue. Journeying into the depths of his distinct grime influenced style, this 6-track-long solo release has definitely lived up to our expectations. Based in Leipzig, Germany, his truly unique and individual approach at the 140 sound has drawn the attention of several big names in the scene including Commodo, Gantz and more."

@tikandborrow, passing by with various releases and e-mail traffic in our inboxes the past year or so, have made it to te @dirtybeatsmusic gang's imprint: and a fire EP it is.

One of our favourite dons @ramsezlahamsez joins in on the fun with a direct-hit: bringing the heat, known for his hefty DDD bits, to this already fuego EP with serious remix damage.

'DBM013' is set for release on 02/10/2020 thru all digital vendours, therefore make sure to support the artists, label and soundsystem music as whole by hitting the buy-link attached...

FKOF Promo!

We're returning to relatively standard scheduling with the latest FKOFd EP, back at it again with a solo effort for this (our penultimate effort on our main digital imprint of the year) and the release that follows.

As always, we're delighted to welcome a new artist to the FatKidOnFire family with our 47th release and his first four tracker with us is a proper audial adventure...

'FKOFd047' is available from the FKOFd Bandcamp next Friday and @junodownload a fortnight after that, 16/10/20, and will be available from all good electronic retailers two weeks later. Hit the buy link to pre-order the release...

1. Kami-O - Saar

2. Kami-O - Seven

3. Kami-O - Yali

4. Kami-O - Meru

"At FKOF Records, we split A&R efforts between the team - and FKOFd047 is a prime example of these efforts coming to fruition. Olaf (you may know him as @Korrupt or @signalfireofficial) hit Glasgow-based @Kami-O up on SoundCloud in June during one of his wanders through interesting soundscapes. Owen then emailed in a few demos, and we signed all of them. As you do. Owen's got a signature spin on the 140bpm sound and we've been pretty impressed with what we've heard so far, and the material that comprises FKOF047 continues that theme.

"Kami-O's FKOF Records debut opens with 'Saar', a woodwind-driven roller that eases us in with heavy grooves and crisp percussion before the sub drops. It's a banger. Next up, we've 'Seven'. It's deep, it's dark and it's awesome. Watch the atmospherics on this tune. A proper meditative experience! Track 3, 'Yali', exemplifies Kami-O's musical skill with its wicked, lowkey intro that crescendoes into something with a whole different vibe. It's an experience that improves with each revisit. We close out the EP with 'Meru', coming with more epic soundscapes and elements that ebb and flow just enough to leave you wanting more. Watch for the second drop. Ooft.

"It's been an odd year, you don't need us to tell you that, but it definitely feels like the music we've been able to sign and release has stepped up a level in terms of quality. The correlation may or may not be there, but we're not complaining about this aspect to 2020. Kami-O's FKOFd EP is a good demonstrator of what we mean. If subsequent material is as good as this release, the Glaswegian's destined for big things. Watch this space."

FKOF Premiere!

This our first ever premiere of Vienna-based imprint @viennaundergroundtraxx. It's a label with various Bass-oriented releases, currently welcoming the sounds of @roninsaedi and his oblivious 'Cosmic Conscious' EP.

Ronin Sædi's debut is defined by intricate rhythms and floating melodies. His soundsystem background shapes the crystal clear production-style, which really shines through contorted vocals and crisp drum placements. One for the heads...

'VUT006' is set for release on 25/09/2020 thru all familiar digital vendours, therefore make sure to hit the buy-link attached. ..
