James chapter 2 deals with two major themes. The first theme is about favoritism and the second theme is about faith. In this teaching we see that the bible strongly condemns favoritism for several reasons and we also learn about three different kinds of faith. The Book of James is highly misunderstood because it is viewed through the wrong lens. The Book of James is written to Christian Jews and therefore we must keep in mind that this letter is a post salvation letter about how to live out our faith in Jesus Christ.
