Hello everyone I welcome you to hive music festival week 185 round 2
I am favourstrings and today I will be singing a song cover by dusin oyenka with the song title no throne without the cross.
#HMF Cover*
Some songs are beautiful. Others are necessary. No Throne Without the Cross by Dunsin Oyekan is necessary for me. It’s the song that pulls me out of casual worship and plants me at Calvary again.
I didn’t grow up with crowns and glory talk. I grew up knowing struggle. So when Dunsin sings, “No throne without the cross, there’s no sacrifice without the blood,” it hits different. It reminds me that every level, every victory, every door God opens sits on the foundation of what Jesus already bled for. I can’t skip the cross and expect the crown. I can’t want the throne and reject the nails. That line kills entitlement in me. It keeps me sober.
But the part that breaks me every single time is: “All this You did for me, no me without You.”
The song doesn’t let me clap and dance alone. It makes me bow. It makes me remember Gethsemane before I celebrate Pentecost. It’s worship with weight.
#HMF — Hive Music Festival — is where we bring our most honest selves. Week after week, I’ve watched people here sing through tears, through pain, through testimony. It’s not about perfection; it’s about presence. And that’s exactly what No Throne Without the Cross demands: presence.
I want to do this cover in #HMF because this community understands sacrifice. Many of us create when we’re tired, record when data is low, show up when life is heavy. We know what it means to carry a cross before we wear a crown. So singing this song here feels like coming home.
My cover won’t be vocal gymnastics. It’ll be surrender. I want us to remember together that our platforms, our gifts, our very lives on Hive — they all exist because of the Blood. If my voice shakes while I sing “no me without You,” good. It should. Because it’s true.
I’m bringing this song to #HMF Week 185 not to impress, but to confess. To remind myself and anyone listening: we reign because He bled. We have thrones because He chose the cross.
And for that, all I can say is thank You.

Hello everyone I welcome you all to hive music community
I'm absolutely obsessed with "Yeshua Hamashiach" by Nathaniel Bassey! 🤩 The way he belts out those powerful lyrics, especially the part where he says "You are the one who parted the Red Sea, You are the one, You are the one, You are the one" 💥 gives me chills every time! It's like he's reminding me of the greatness of God, and it just resonates deep within me.
I love how this song takes me to a place of worship, where I can just let go and praise the Lord. The melody is so uplifting, and Nathaniel's vocals are just incredible. It's one of those songs that makes you feel like you're in the presence of God.
That's why I want to share my cover of this song in the music community 🙌 I believe this song is a game-changer, and I'd love for others to experience the power and majesty of God through it. I'm planning to do a soulful rendition, adding my own twist to it, while keeping the core message intact.
Sharing this cover is not just about showcasing my talent (or lack thereof, haha 😂), but about lifting up the name of Jesus and declaring His greatness. I want the music community to be swept up in the worship, just like I was when I first heard this song.
The lyrics speak directly to my heart, reminding me of God's power and love. I want to share that with others, and inspire them to dig deeper into their faith. Who knows, maybe someone out there needs to hear this song and be reminded of God's greatness today 🙏.
So, I'm putting my heart and soul into this cover, and I hope it'll bless the music community. Wish me luck, and I hope you'll be there to worship with me.

Hello everyone I welcome you all to hive open mic week 316
Some songs don’t just play in your ears — they take residence in your spirit. Out of My Belly by Theophilus Sunday is that kind of song for me. It’s not background music. It’s an altar call every time it comes on.
I first heard it at 2 AM on a night I couldn’t sleep. My head was full, but my heart felt empty. Then that chant started: “Out of my belly shall flow rivers of living water…” Something broke. It wasn’t loud or dramatic. It was like a dam cracking inside me. Suddenly I wasn’t just listening to words from John 7:38, I was remembering who I am. Theophilus doesn’t sing that song — he births it. You can hear the groaning, the hunger, the desperate cry for more of God. And every time I join in, it pulls that same hunger out of me.
The part that wrecks me most is the repetition. Out of my belly… out of my belly… It’s not poetic. It’s prophetic. It’s a reminder that I’m not supposed to be a dry well. I’m not meant to live off Sunday leftovers. There’s supposed to be a river — living, moving, healing — flowing from within me. When life leaves me feeling like a desert, this song tells my spirit, “Check again. The River hasn’t dried up.”
Why I want to perform this cover for @openmic on Hive
@openmic is more than a stage. It’s a family of people who show up raw, real, and reverent. Every week we bring our voices, our guitars, our brokenness, and our praise, and lay it all out. No performance pressure. Just presence.
I want to do Out of My Belly there because this community understands groaning. You all know what it means to worship when it’s not convenient. You know what it means to minister from a place of hunger, not hype. I don’t want to sing this song to sound good. I want to pour. I want my cover to be a moment where we collectively say, “Lord, let the rivers flow again.”
Song lyrics
Out of my belly shall flow rivers
La La La La La La La
As the river flows it begins to bring every death thing to life
Is a life given river oh let it flow right here right now....

Hello everyone I welcome you all to hive music festival week 184 round 1 .
There are songs you hear, and there are songs that hear you. Cory Asbury’s Reckless Love is the second kind for me. I didn’t just add it to a playlist. It moved in. It sat with me on nights when my prayers felt like echoes and on mornings when gratitude was the only thing I could afford.
The first time the chorus hit me, I had to pause everything.
Then comes the second punch:
That’s why I can’t keep this song to myself. It’s not just melody; it’s testimony. And that’s exactly why I’m sharing my cover for #HMF Week 184 Round 1.
Song lyrics
Before I spoke a word you sing it over me
Before I took a breath you breath your life in me
You,ve been so so good to me 2x
Oh the overwhelming
Oh it chases me down fights till I'm found leaves the 99
No shadow you won't light up mountain you won't climb up coming after me..
No walls you won't kick down coming after me..

Hello everyone I welcome you all to hive music festival week 183 round 3
There are songs you like, and there are songs that read your mail. Lawrence Oyor’s 7 Eyes, 7 Wings, 7 Scrolls did the second one to me. The first time it came on, I wasn’t even in “worship mode.” I was just scrolling, tired, half-praying, half-worrying. Then that chant dropped: “7 eyes, 7 wings, 7 scrolls” and my whole body went still.
It sounded like Revelation 5 with a pulse. Ancient, urgent, alive. But the part that put me on my knees was right after: “You are welcome oh breaker invade.” I had to pause the song the first time I heard it. Breaker invade. That’s not polite Christianity. That’s hospital-crash-cart faith. That’s “God, don’t just visit — interrupt.” I’d been managing problems, decorating cycles, trying to be strong. That line gave me permission to be weak and invite a stronger One. Since then, “breaker invade” has been my 3AM whisper, my prayer before job interviews, my text to heaven when Hive payouts delay. I don’t need God to knock anymore. I need Him to invade.
Then Oyor sings the line that stitched me back together: “My deliverer is not asleep. I’m not helpless. I don’t fight alone.” I can’t explain what that did to me. I was in a week where everything that could go silent went silent — friends, opportunities, even my own motivation. I played that line on repeat while trekking under Abuja sun with ₦200 in my pocket. Not asleep. So the delay isn’t denial. Not helpless. So I still have authority even when I feel powerless. Don’t fight alone. So the math in my battles has already changed. I cried on that walk, but it was the kind of crying that empties you so God can fill you again.
“Eh eh eh eh eh eh eh you are welcome oh breaker invade” is not just melody to me now. It’s protocol. It’s how I open rooms in the spirit before I step into them in the physical. And “Oh oh oh oh oh oh I’m not helpless I don’t walk alone” is the footnote I add to every fear that tries to write a story over my life.
I’m not bringing perfect vocals to Week 183. I’m bringing a witness. If one person hears me sing “breaker invade” and finally gives God access to that locked room in their heart, then my entry is already a win. If someone plays my cover on a bad day and remembers “my deliverer is not asleep,” then the blockchain did more than store a video — it stored hope.

Hello everyone I welcome you all to hive open mic week 313
I am favourstrings and today I will be sharing a medley of 2 worship songs.
There’s something about worship that undoes me, and these two songs in this medley especially pull me right out of myself and plant me at the feet of God.
The first one is pure reverence. Every time those lyrics hit — "Every tongue in heaven and earth shall declare Your glory, and every knee must bow at Your feet in worship. You are exalted, oh God, and Your kingdom shall not pass away, oh Ancient of Days" — I literally feel myself go weak. It takes me off my feet. Not physically, but in my spirit. I’m reminded that no matter what’s happening in my life, in Nigeria, or in the world, there’s a throne that’s never shaken. A Kingdom that doesn’t expire. The “Ancient of Days” part humbles me. It reminds me I’m worshipping the same God Abraham, David, and my grandmother called on. When I sing it, I’m not just making music; I’m joining a sound that’s already happening in heaven.
Then the song shifts, and so does my posture. The second one is my surrender: "Spirit, lead me where my trust is without borders. Help me walk upon the waters wherever You would call me." If the first song is me bowing, this one is me standing up and saying “yes” with shaky faith. It’s the cry I pray when life feels too deep or the next step looks impossible. It’s me asking God to stretch my trust beyond what’s comfortable, beyond what my bank account, my fears, or my logic says is safe. Every time I sing “walk upon the waters,” I’m choosing to believe that if He calls, He’ll also carry.
Putting them together as a medley tells my whole story: awe first, then obedience. You can’t truly say “lead me” until you’ve seen who’s leading. You bow, then you walk.
That’s exactly why I want to perform this cover for Hive Open Mic Week 313. Open Mic isn’t just a stage to me — it’s an altar we all gather around from different countries, time zones, and stories. And Week 313 feels like the right moment to pour this out. I don’t just want to showcase vocals. I want to create a space where someone else watching from their phone in Abuja, Accra, or Argentina can feel taken off their feet too, and then find the courage to walk on water in their own life.
I’ve been rehearsing this medley in my quiet time for weeks. Sometimes I break down mid-verse because the words are praying me more than I’m singing them. So sharing it on Hive Open Mic is my way of giving it back. To God first, and then to a community that understands what it means to worship without borders.
Song lyrics
Every tongue in heaven and earth shall declare your glory every kneel shall bow at your throne in worship you are exalted oh God and your kingdom shall not pass away oh ancient of days

Hello everyone I welcome you all to hive music festival week 181 round 1
The moment I heard "Made a Way" by Travis Green, I was hooked 💫. The anthem-like chorus hits me every time - "You move mountains, you cause walls to fall, with your power you perform miracles, there is nothing that's impossible..." It's like the song was written for me, about me.
I love how Travis Green belts out those words with conviction, like he's reminding God of His power 🤯. And that bridge... "Now we are standing here only because you made a way" 😭 gives me chills every time. It's like a reminder that no matter what's going on, God has already paved the way.
Which brings me to why I'm hyped about performing this song at the Hive Music Festival (#HMF) 🎤! The Hive community is all about creating a space for worship, community, and celebration - and what better way to do that than with a powerful cover of "Made a Way"?
I want to bring the house down with this performance, to remind everyone that our God is a way-maker 💪. I envision the whole crowd singing along, hands raised, voices lifted in faith. It's gonna be EPIC.
Performing at #HMF would mean everything to me. It's a chance to share my love for this song, for Travis Green's ministry, and for the God who makes a way out of no way 🙏. I'm all about spreading the message of hope and faith that "Made a Way" embodies.
Song lyrics
Standing here not knowing how we got through this test
And when it looks as if we can't win
When our back were against the wall
No we are standing here only because you made 2*
You move mountains you cause walls to fall with your power

Hello everyone I welcome you all to hive music festival week 180 round 3
I sat on the edge of my bed, strumming the chords on my guitar, and suddenly, the words flowed like a river. "Miracle working God, you answer me, you are the great God, you answer me" - it was like the lyrics wrote themselves. I felt a rush of excitement, knowing I'd crafted something special.
"The God who Answers" was born from personal experiences, moments when I felt lost and God's presence was the only thing that brought me peace. This song is my testimony, a reminder that no matter what, God hears me.
Performing it at Hive Music Festival (#HMF) would be a dream come true. the vibe of the music, and sharing my heart with others - it's what I live for. I envision the artist in the #hmf singing along, hands raised, and feeling the collective spirit of worship.
I know my video sounds a bit rough - apologies for that! 😅 My earphones have been acting up, and Voloco's giving me some issues. But I'm not letting that stop me. This performance is too important. I want to share my heart, my faith, and my music with the Hive community.
"The God who Answers" is more than just a song - it's a declaration of God's faithfulness. I'm excited to share it with you all at HMF. Let's lift our voices and worship together! 🎤

Hello everyone I welcome you all to hive music festival week 179 round 2. I am favourstrings what an awesome moment to be part of this week entery 🥰
Let me first of all share to you all ,
Lines like "The fragrance of my worship rose up to the Father, noises, thundering, earthquake were the response to my worship" and "At first it was fragrance, then it turns to fire 🔥... My worship is my weapon, and this is how I win my battles" just resonate so deeply with me. They're like declarations of faith, reminding me that my worship has the power to shake the heavens and ignite fire on earth.
The song's message is so timely, reminding us that our worship is a potent weapon in these battles of life. I'm convinced that if I can get this song across to people, it'll ignite a fire in their hearts, just like it's done for me.
Now, I'm gearing up to perform a cover of "Fragrance to Fire" for #HMF week 179 round 2, and I'm hyped! I want to declare victory over every obstacle, every fear, and every doubt through this song. Your encouragement means a lot – thanks for the vote of confidence! 🙏
