Notice: We are praying for you and your loved ones at this time as you navigate the dynamics surrounding the coronavirus. If you need prayer or have any questions about resources available please don't hesitate to contact us at [email protected] or 613-552-5572.

This week's show was pre-scheduled before the national coronavirus hit. Because of studio shut downs and the nature of non-profit broadcasting we it was already in the cue. Next week we will be doing a special show with to speak directly to how to navigate the coronavirus world.

    ------------------------------------------------------------

This week we are talking about the important issue of indigenous youth suicide with Barry Chalifoux.

Indigenous youth in Canada report some of the highest suicide rates in the world. Barry has experienced this first hand in his own community which declared a suicide crisis in late 2019. Other communities across the nation have done the same at various points. This week we are talking about what is happening and what the average Canadian can do to help.

  • Racism and Reconciliation

Over these past weeks Canada has faced tremendous reconciliation challenges over the Wet'suwet'en land issue.

In light of this, this week's show is a cup of hope for us.

In 1963 Martin Luther King Jr. spoke the words, "....I have a dream that one day...the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood." On this week show we have two individuals who are literally living out this dream. Their names are Will Ford and Matt Lockett.

Please tune in to hear their riveting story of pain, prayer, providence and reconciliation.

Their powerful story is irrefutable evidence that God is at work in the affairs of nations and history.

  • Sexting, Porn, the Next Generation & Culture War

Porn addiction and sexting could be one of the most important, altering and devastating issues that this generation in Canada is facing.

Studies show that most first exposures to porn happen between the age of 9 and 12yrs. Almost 30% of first time exposures to porn are unintentional - that means that the person (often child) stumbled across it unintentionally.

    Porn changes your brain.

Porn has become more violent and degrading.

There are now thousands of recorded cases of children sexually abusing other children as they attempt to "try out" what they are seeing.

    This is very disturbing.

If we love the next generation, we need to do something about it. It begins with awareness.

We hope you can join us for this extremely enlightening show with Jonathan Van Maren.

  • Assisted Suicide Expansion & Implications

In January 2020 the Government of Canada conducted an online survey regarding the expansion of assisted suicide. This, because of a Superior Quebec Court ruling which struck down the current law. Expansion of the current law could come to include legal assisted suicide for mental illnesses and/or mature minors.

With me this week is Alex Schadenberg, one of Canada's leading voices calling for caution on the legalization of assisted suicide, and now the expansion of it.

  • Canada's 43rd Parliament

On this week's show we have a treat.

With me this week is MP Rosemarie Falk. She is amazing: articulate, intelligent, courageous, pro-life, pro-freedom and so much more. She was just re-elected to represent the people of Llyodminister-Battlefords.

In this interview Rosemarie covered so much ground. We talked about the pressure she faced to dumb down her pro-life views by some during her campaign in spite of the fact that the majority in her riding are actually pro-life. She talked about her fight for the people of Saskatchewan and Alberta, her passon for freedom, fiscal stewardship, women being respected for what they bring to the table as MPs rather than their gender alone and what it was like being in her final stages of pregnancy when Parliament gave a standing ovation to third trimester abortion last May.

This interview will leave your wheels turning and perhaps hoping Rosemary runs from Prime Minister one day! It was an honour to have a MP of her character and calibur with me to talk about what's coming in Canada's 43rd Parliament.

I hope you can join us this week.

  • Canada's Resources & Western Alienation

This week I am interviewing Tim Cameron of Rally Canada on the important topic of Canada's resources and western alienation.

In his community of Drayton Valley, AB, the foreclosure rate in the downtown core is estimated to be as high as 55%, some people who are post secondary educated are using the food bank and kids are reported to be dropping out of high school to get jobs to help their parents make ends meet. The personal impact on western Canadians of the slow down in the resource sector has been staggering. All this in spite of the fact that Albertans have consistently paid the highest amount of money to other provinces in transfer payments to help them in their quality of life.

The situation has left many in the western provinces feeling alienated. Rightfully so.

It is important to national unity that those of us who do not live in western provinces take time to understand what is happening at this moment in our national history, and respond with compassionate solutions.

  • Christian Persecution

Did you know that it is estimated that more than 70 million Christians have been martyred? That is double Canada's current population.

1 in 9 Christians in the world experience high levels of persecution.

Every day advocacy groups receive reports of Christians being imprisonment without cause, experiencing loss of home and assets, physical torture, beheadings, rape and even death.

Join us this week with Floyd Brobbel, VP of International Operations for Voice of the Martyrs Canada, a group committed to advocating for the persecuted.
