We’re continuing our study in Philippians that has been full of timeless principles and insights for our situation today.

As we start Chapter 3, it’s all about how our confidence must be anchored in Jesus. Paul describes all the privileges and advantages he had in life, and how even if you take those all away, he can still rejoice in Jesus.

It’s certainly a timely passage for right now, as we are learning to live without so many things we're used to. And when only the essential things remain, it allows us to see where we truly place our hope and our confidence.

We’ve also seen many people place their trust in Jesus in these last few weeks, and when all that is normal is pulled away, we can so clearly see the importance of where we put our confidence and our trust.

This message, we’ll explore a passage about how God’s work in our lives is not finished yet. We are chosen, made in his image, and the work he is doing in your life he will not stop until it is completed.

We’ll learn more about our confident hope we can have in God during these unprecedented times.

When we talk about leadership, too often people don’t see themselves as leaders, but the reality is that we are all responsible to lead ourselves. You might be responsible for leadership at work, and leadership also matters at home and in your social circles.

In this message, we’ll see several examples of leaders who honored God well.
We’ll see several leadership lessons that apply, no matter where you lead. We’ll also see the tremendous impact that one person can have when they choose to lead in a way that honors God.

The problem of evil is a massive subject that cannot be completely covered in a single message, but we can at least get a basic grasp of the issues and find comfort and courage in these uncertain times.

We will learn why, in times of crisis, our faith can be strengthened and refined, not diminished or destroyed.

This sermon, we'll continue our series through the book of Philippians.

In some ways, Paul’s situation in Rome, while writing his letter to the church in Philippi, parallels what is happening to us in this pandemic. He’s confined to his residence under the threat of death, with no freedom to be out and about. He’s under house arrest in iron chains with a trained killer on the other end—an elite Roman guard.

Paul’s chains are a kind of metaphor for our own pandemic "chains" with a killer on the other end—COVID-19.

Last message, we learned why Paul rejoiced in his troubles. The core passion of his life was happening--the gospel was advancing through his faith story and through fellow believers who were emboldened by his example to share Christ more openly with their neighbors.

This sermon, Paul looks to the uncertain future and we'll see why he is confident to continue to rejoicing even in his chains. Paul's example provides real and relevant wisdom for us as we navigate through this pandemic.
