The FCC just gave the green light to draft rules around bringing satellite coverage to cell phones. It's the next step for the potential 30 billion-dollar market that's drawn the attention of Elon Musk's SpaceX and competitors like AT&T and T-Mobile. The service links callers directly to satellites in space for reception in remote areas and other dead zones.
