Following Jesus is not a call to comfort and ease, but a call to training, work, and growth and as we do, it is a promise of deeper connection to Jesus. Are we settled or are we training?

Are angels and demons real? If so, what are they and how do they effect our world?

Esther is a beautiful story that reads like a movie. “An orphan girl in a foreign land rises up to become Queen and risks everything to save her people.” While there is nothing necessarily wrong with recognizing Esther's courage or even holding it out as an example to emulate, but the book of Esther is not about teaching us to be brave or courageous. It’s about God and his faithfulness to His promises. Even though God is never mentioned specifically in the story, He is understood to be in complete control - providentially working behind the scenes.

But when we understand what it means in Scripture to be a Christian, then the call to those who claim that title is radical. Are we striving to live Biblical Christianity or will we settle for Christianity as defined by our culture?
