UNEEK RADIO Season 8 Ep.5  Special Guest Artist… “Unlearn The World“!

EmCee | Producer | Educator | Activist

He’s never won any awards, yet his words win over hearts and minds. He’s never been part of the “Freshmen Class” or on the cover of any magazine, but his message is in a class of its own, proving to be just as potent and relevant as any rapper on your top five list. Considering this, it’s safe to say that UnLearn The World is probably the dopest MC you’ve never heard, but need to listen to. As a born and bred product of the late 90’s New York City underground Hip Hop Scene UnLearn takes the best from all dimensions of song writing, in order to showcase his substantive, yet accessible brand of lyricism, while he chronicles the emotions, triumphs, and tragedies that make up the Urban American experience.

UnLearn began receiving serious notoriety when he was given the chance to join the Lyricist Lounge Club Series Tour, opening up for the group Boot Camp Click. Positive audience responses to his live show allowed him to extend his stint on the tour, continuing on the road for another two months, performing spot dates with acts like Young Bloodz, Dead Prez, Killa Mike, Killa Priest and Hip Hop Icon, Big Daddy Kane and working with artists and producers like The Beatnuts,

Jean Grae, Fat Joe and Jake One.

More recently, UnLearn has become an energizing force within the Bay Area Hip Hop scene. With co- signs from members of Hieroglyphics and other OG’s of the Bay, UnLearn has been a mainstay and now Co-Director at Return Of The Cypher, the popular weekly live Hip Hop Cypher event at San Francisco’s

Boom Boom Room. UnLearn is also the Vice President of the All Tribes SF San Francisco Chapter of Zulu Nation and a Hip Hop Educator for several Oakland based Non-Profits, teaching kids the history and culture of Hip Hop as well as Beatmaking.

As a follow up to his debut “Wake Up Call” album, UnLearn recently released 2 albums in 1 year, his self-produced album ‘iSaint iSinner iSelf”, and the brand new album “Universes”, now available on Spotify,iTunes, Tidal and Pandora. He is also co-host of Hip Hop For Change Radio kpoo 89.5 fm and

the True Skool TV Podcast.

ANTHONY ANDERSON and VERNA WILSON welcome back MICHAEL REID as he shares some more scary KAIDAN JAPANESE GHOST STORIES! MICHAEL is an avid Japanese film and history buff. During the 90’s he wrote for several fanzines, highlighting than obscure Japanese film, TV Dramas ect, than moving onto web pages, and later social media groups, as printed matter became more obscure .and eventually defunct. Always having a love of Horror and the supernatural, from ghost stories handed down by Irish relatives, it was no surprise to him while reading up on Japanese history, to stumble across many Japanese legends and ghost stories.  TURN OFF THE LIGHTS AND TUNE IN!

UNEEK RADIO Season 8 Ep.4 “ENERGY!” Certain people radiate positive energy, and others negative energy. But understanding positive and negative energy in others goes much farther than simply recognizing the energy someone exudes. A person’s energy is a combination of a person’s past, their mindset, their dominant thoughts, and beliefs and their perception of the world. Sometimes that energy is easily felt, and other times it manifests as an instant like or dislike of a person you’ve just met (without having any obvious clues as to why you feel this way).

Positive people are loving, happy, compassionate, kind and supportive. You intuitively feel safe, happy and relaxed around them. Their vibe is welcoming.

Negative people are judgmental, unhappy (complainers) and they like to put others down. You intuitively feel insecure, unhappy and tense around them. Their vibe is off-putting.

The important thing to remember is that energy has polarity (opposites) and where there is one type of energy, you can swing the pendulum over to the other side. You have the power to move from negative to positive instantly.

DJ Kween Uneek has a thing for People with GOOD, POSITIVE #ENERGY !!! On this episode of #UneekRadio the Kween has more than a handful of folks with #GoodEnergy coming to the station tonite!!!  #SpecialGuestLocalArtists On this episode: K.F.M. (Kevin Moses), refuses to be limited to a single medium. As an artist, he creates for both the visual as well as the auditory sensory experience.Focused on boundary-pushing sound amalgamation, KFM’s music has been described as “unfiltered, pure and raw.”  Recently, K.F.M. has collaborated with Bay Area MC/model percytaughtyou (Percy Tolbert) for a live experience that changes with each show.
