This episode is part 1 of a new series called "The Talk," that's centered on conversations around sex and sexuality. So, quick disclaimer for this episode, you might want to use headphones or be mindful if you have younger kids around. We know anytime a church talks about sex, there's lots of emotions and opinions. Our hope is to center this conversation on our posture as followers Jesus. This first message is a bit of an overview and grapples with some ideas about sex and sexuality in our culture. We discuss the difference between being consumers or cultivators and also look at what it means to be a church that operates in Center Set Model, which has some incredible implications for how we love Jesus and one another.

This episode is the final message from our series, Origins, and we look at the call of Abram and Israel in Genesis 12. The first part of the message recaps our series so far and what we've learned from Genesis 1-11. Then, it invites us to see the connection this part of the Bible has with Jesus and the church. We learn that the church is sent by Jesus to the ends of the earth and to all nations. And the scattering of Israel paved the way.

The big takeaway is, God’s response to the world in which we live is to form a missional people...and all of us are invited to be part of that movement.

In this episode, we look at one of the more obscure and challenging stories in the beginning of Genesis: the tower of babel found in Genesis 11. It's important to understand, this story is not against technology or achievement or anything like that. But it really is a story about people attempting to build a world apart from God. So we breakdown this story and then ask a couple really powerful questions: How do we have unity amidst diversity? And do we trust God to make the world right?

Ultimately, it's a story about how we treat one another and the story challenges the narrative of individualism that is so present in our world. In this episode, we jump into a brand new series called Origins based on Genesis 1-11. The truth is, we tend to read Genesis like it was written today, when it wasn't. So, part of our goal in this series will be to read it the way it was written. In this first message, we learn that Genesis 1 begins with a incredibly important point for the entire narrative of the Bible: identity and worship in God's good creation.

We learn that that like all good stories, it all hinges on what happens in the middle. Because the middle is always when hope is born.

This episode is the third week in our series "Everyone. Everyone." Once again, we look at the title of Messiah as it pertains to Jesus and the Christmas story. We do this by looking at a few passages known as the "Servant Songs" in the book of Isaiah. We learn that Jesus is the perfect embodiment of the servant Isaiah writes about...but also what it means to be people of the Messiah who follow Jesus' example.
