Some people say that the fear of the unknown is the greatest fear of all. What do you think?

I believe that much of the time, the thought of fear itself is greater than what it is we fear.

The pessimistic but perhaps reality is that, "People have a hard time letting go of their suffering. Out of a fear of the unknown, they prefer suffering that is familiar." – Joseph Emet.
