  • 033: Shawn Leonard on Spirit Totem Animals & Indigenous Wisdom

This episode explores the deep wisdom of Spirit Totem animals and their role in personal growth, healing, and spiritual connection, guided by Indigenous teachings. We are excited to welcome back Shawn Leonard, an Indigenous Mi’kmaq Spirit Talker and psychic medium, for a conversation that expands on his teachings with animal totems.

Shawn shares how Spirit Totem animals serve as lifelong allies, offering specific “medicine” at different stages of life. Drawing from Indigenous wisdom and his own lived experiences, he explains that these animals are not symbolic in a superficial sense, but conscious spiritual guides that help individuals navigate challenges, transitions, and purpose. Listeners learn how to recognize when a totem animal is showing up, why certain animals appear during pivotal moments, and how these connections can provide strength, clarity, and protection.

Shawn weaves personal stories with broader teachings, illustrating how animal allies often arrive before adversity, giving you support long before it is consciously understood. He also clarifies the respectful, ceremonial relationship Indigenous cultures maintain with the animal world, emphasizing reverence, reciprocity, and balance rather than domination or symbolism as trophies.

The conversation integrates ancestral wisdom, the interconnectedness of all life, and practical ways modern listeners can reconnect with these teachings in a grounded, respectful way. By the end of the episode, listeners will leave with a deeper understanding of spirit totem animals and clear insight into how to connect with their own.

In this episode, you will hear:

    • Indigenous wisdom and the spiritual role of totem animals
    • How Spirit Totem animals guide different stages of life
    • Recognizing signs and messages from the animal world
    • Respectful relationships with animals in Indigenous culture
    • Totem animals as sources of grounding, courage, and insight

  • 032: Carla Kaufman Sloan: Grief, Child Loss & Signs from Beyond

Grief changes everything. In this deeply human conversation, I sit down with Emmy winning writer and producer Carla Kaufman Sloan to explore what unfolds after unimaginable loss, and what remains when life as you knew it shatters.

Carla shares the story of losing her seven year old son in a tragic backyard accident. She speaks with honesty about the shock that followed, the guilt that took root, and the emotional paralysis that can descend when the unthinkable becomes real. Grief did not simply affect her. It reshaped her identity as a mother, a creative, and a human being learning how to stay in the world. Rather than chasing closure or healing timelines, Carla offers a rare and necessary truth. Grief is nonlinear, enduring, and deserving of space.

We also talk about how she and her husband chose to transform their loss into service through the creation of the Caleb and Calder Sloan’s Awesome Foundation. What began as survival became a living legacy rooted in love, generosity, and support for children and families facing hardship and loss. Carla reflects on how helping others did not erase her grief, but gave it somewhere honest to land.

The conversation then opens into the terrain of consciousness and spirituality. Carla shares how signs, synchronicities, and unexplainable moments following her son’s passing challenged her previously logical worldview. Now a practicing medium, she speaks clearly about what mediumship is and what it is not, offering grounding and reassurance for those who are curious, cautious, or quietly wondering about connection beyond physical life.

This episode holds grief without trying to fix it. It invites curiosity without forcing belief. And it offers something rare and steady. The understanding that love does not disappear with loss, that connection can continue, and that meaning and even joy can exist alongside sorrow.

If you have loved deeply, lost profoundly, or questioned what comes next, this conversation will meet you where you are.

In this episode, you will hear:

    • Grief is not linear and cannot be rushed or fixed
    • Child loss reshapes identity, relationships, and worldview
    • Service and legacy can emerge organically from pain
    • Signs and synchronicities can be comforting, personal, and subtle
    • Healing does not mean forgetting — it means learning to carry love forward

  • 031: Physicist Tom Campbell on Consciousness, Simulation & Love

Is our reality a simulation designed to help us grow? This episode features an expansive conversation with physicist-turned-consciousness-researcher Tom Campbell, whose life’s work bridges hard science with the vast terrain of metaphysics. Drawing from his decades in U.S. Army technical intelligence, missile defense research, and NASA’s Ares I program, Campbell offers rare credibility as he explores the deeper structure of reality, and why it is, at its core, a learning environment designed to help consciousness evolve.

Campbell traces his early out-of-body experiences at age seven, the entities who trained him, and the moment that door temporarily closed so he could grow up “ordinary” enough to fulfill a bigger mission. He explains how his scientific path eventually intersected with consciousness exploration and how his years working alongside Robert Monroe at the Monroe Institute helped him test, validate, and expand his understanding of nonphysical reality and out of body experience..

Campbell describes why fear is the opposite of love, how fear fragments our perception, and why personal evolution is measured not by knowledge but by the quality of our choices. He emphasizes that consciousness is fundamental, the physical world is a virtual learning lab, and each person is here to lower their entropy by becoming more caring, cooperative, and authentic.

Listeners will learn how to cultivate intuitive awareness, navigate life’s challenges with less resistance, and make decisions that lead toward growth rather than contraction. Campbell also shares practical guidance on reducing anxiety, releasing the need for control, and strengthening the “inner balance” between logic and intuition.

This conversation invites listeners to think about what reality is and who they are within it.

In this episode, you will hear:

    • Childhood out-of-body experiences and early guidance
    • Consciousness as fundamental and reality as a learning environment
    • Fear versus love as the core of human evolution
    • Strengthening intuition through meditation and imagination
    • Making choices that lower entropy and support personal growth
    • Letting go of control and responding to life with awareness and compassion

  • 025: Living a Connected Life After Loss: Rachel Stewart on Spirit Teams, Signs & Healing

In this episode, Rachel Stewart, an intuitive guide and co-founder of For 11 Together, takes us on a journey of healing born from unimaginable loss. In 2018, Rachel's life changed forever with the sudden passing of her daughter, Kenadie, at the age of 10 due to brain cancer. This devastating moment became the catalyst for Rachel's deep spiritual awakening, leading her to create a heart-led online sanctuary designed to support others navigating grief, spiritual awakening, and soul realignment.

Feeling that traditional grief support systems couldn't fully reach the soul's depth of sorrow, Rachel turned inward and on alternative practices like mediumship, energy healing, angelic communication, and working closely with her "Spirit Team." Alongside her husband Shane, she began receiving signs — particularly through the recurring number 11 — which they interpreted as divine communication from their daughter and spiritual confirmation that they were not alone.

Throughout the episode, she discusses how her relationship with her husband was strengthened by shared beliefs and open-mindedness. Rachel's work is deeply personal and community-oriented, creating sacred spaces that feel like home — safe, nonjudgmental, and energetically expansive.

Rachel's ability to transmute grief into light and to guide others in rediscovering their own divine connection has made her a trusted presence for anyone feeling disconnected, heartbroken, or spiritually lost. She is a beacon for those who are sensitive, empathic, and seeking to remember who they truly are.

"When we started opening ourselves up to the spirituality side of life, things started feeling magical. Now we don't want to live in a world without magic."

In this episode, you will hear:

    • The founding of the healing collective For 11 and the significance of the numbers four and eleven as symbols of hope and spiritual connection
    • Transitioning from skepticism to embracing a spiritually connected life
    • Navigating grief within a marriage and the strengthening of bonds through shared spiritual beliefs and open-mindedness
    • The impact of unconventional spiritual practices
