Being a veteran homeschooling mom I have been bombarded with questions about what it is like, how I do it, why I do and and how do my kids thrive?
So this week I discuss why I think homeschooling may be the best choice for your family. I don’t pull any punches and tell it like I see it. School is unhealthy for kids in most cases. From social distancing, masks, toxic cleaners, stress and fear I think that for most kids would be better at home without the extra pressure.
On this podcast I talk about what kids really need to thrive and be healthy and hope that you will make empowering decisions for your kids. not decisions based on fear.

Nutrition can be overwhelming and confusing. What “diet” should I do? What is fasting? Paleo, Keto, Vegan, Carnivore? Organic better? Is non-organic the same? What about soy? How do we make sense of it all and create healthy building blocks for our body? We are breaking it down and taking the confusion out of how to create a healthy , nutritious, lifestyle. On today’s podcast we get into all of this and more with Dr. Chris Dirth.

We should all be aware of the adverse effects on our immediate health. It diminishes our immune system function, messes with our digestion, increases our blood pressure and cardiovascular disease and disrupts our hormones. But not everyone knows about the effects on the babies we carry. The long term effects that can last generations.
This is called epigenetics. And the adverse, or positive, effects can carry on for multiple generations. In today’s podcast I talk about the epigenetic, generational, effects on our children and grandchildren and what you can do to make those lean in the positive direction. Even during stressful times.

Are you burned out and running on the selfless treadmill? Giving to everyone and everything around you and draining your own health and wellness? Not anymore! Listen it today to change your life and start living it! Get off the treadmill that is bringing you down and slowly killing you. Get OFF the Selfless Syndrome Treadmill.
Dr. Alexandra Ridley helps successful women leaders overcome Selfless Syndrome and transform from overwhelmed, overworked, and overweight to vibrant, energized and laser focused. Selfless Syndrome is reaching epidemic proportions in our society as women put their families, careers, community, and commitments before themselves at a disproportionate rate to themselves. As a result women are developing low level health problems that lead to big problems down the road.
Today 60% of adult women in North America are overweight or obese, heart disease is the leading
cause of death among women, and one in four women are on antidepressant medications.
Dr. Alex personally awoke to the devastating impact Selfless Syndrome has on women and their families following the premature birth of her son Fritz, and ensuing health problems for both herself and her son.
Dr. Alexandra Ridley’s health coaching programs help women lose weight, sleep better, boost energy and fall in love with themselves. This is done by addressing the 6 Core Pillars of a woman’s health, and bringing balance to the innate female desire to give of herself selflessly.

What is functional medicine? How is it different from conventional medicine and how does it enhance your body’s ability to heal naturally? On today’s podcast we dive into functional medicine with Dr. Kat Kadin. Dr. Kaden is a chiropractor, mom. functional medicine doctor and woman who leads by example. If you are having stubborn issues or chronic challenges, you may want to find out more about how functional medicine can fit into your healthcare regimen!
About Dr. Kat:
My mission is to fix people before they are conceived… From a young age I remember choosing that I wanted to be a pediatrician in second grade I even wrote the first two lines of a poem stating “a pediatrician is what I’ll be —helping some kids who come to me“
My Undergraduate degree in psychology from Florida Atlantic university graduated 1996 broke my collarbone playing rugby in college and eventually after trying everything else but wanting to avoid surgery finally went to a chiropractor that not only helped me to avoid collarbone surgery but alleviated my long-term headaches and sinus problems. I then decided to turn away from going to medical school to head to life chiropractic college in Marietta Georgia where I graduated March 2000
After practicing for 3 to 4 years and having relocated to the DC area, I met my husband and we got married in 2005 and I started to pursue solo practice, a diplomate in pediatric and prenatal chiropractic DACCP (2009) while also enduring fertility issues.
I didn’t know at the time what that would mean for my future but we eventually after the diagnosis of two autoimmune health conditions Graves hyperthyroidism and type 1.5 diabetes (LADA) used natural and traditional Western medicine to heal myself sufficiently to get pregnant.
I went on to have two children the first born by cesarean and the second one a VBAC
I have during that time since having my second 6 1/2 years ago finished mentorship and training programs through intersect 4 life as well as initiated and completed my certificate/post doctorate in functional medicine through the institute for functional medicine. IFMCP it filled by my passion to help people heal from the inside out and release their inborn innate recuperative powers and ability to achieve maximum potential.

Sometimes the most simple things can make the biggest impact on our health. And we often overlook them! On today’s podcast I discuss a very important aspect to our health. Rest. It can mean the difference to a healthy, thriving life or one of chronic dis-ease. It is really that important. It can affect our digestion, mental health, our immune function. It can affect our healing and performance. If we don’t get enough rest we can not be our best!
