Pete and Kevin get to play historians as they dredge up the usage of the mythical 'VHS' tape, a major part of the storyline in The Ring.
While Pete tries to wind a terrifying tale of curses and long reaching evil and revenge, Kevin can't help but notice its all down to bad parenting and weirdly high numbers of horse suicide.
So sit back, relax, and please be kind and rewind after listening to this episode of Fearless Films!

We're back to the scary world of Romero in The Night of the Living Dead! Where Pete desperately tries to convince Kevin that undead ghouls shuffling around at roughly the speed of a zoomba are scary.
Learn about THE movie that kicked off what we know as modern zombies, even though they weren't called zombies in this one! Pete gets to rave about a classic he respects and Kevin gets to see how slow motion monster can, in fact, be deadly, if only due to numbers.

It's all fun and games here at Fearless films! At least that's what Kevin's desperately trying to do in this episode as Pete takes him through one of the more bleak movies he's had to watch and talk about.
Back to the woods they go in The Lodge, a suspense filled mystery turned horror where the two boys takes their listeners on a tale of horrible parenting techniques, super villain origin stories, and for some reason an Island with a polar bear?
I don't know man, I just write the descriptions.

Come hiking with us in the woods of America where its totally safer than Sweden!
That's a lie. It's not safe at all. Pete take Kevin on a short but brutal tour of the Blair woods as they wind their way through the tale of The Blair Witch Project. Not only the scope of the movie, but they also discuss the long reaching ramifications of the new 'found footage' style of film making and the mark the movie made on Hollywood by being such a financial success.
Kevin also learns of the best way to deal with any frustration or anger- kicking things into rivers!

On this weeks episode, the guys face one of the most terrifying forces in the world: geometry!! We are talking about Cube, a Canadian sci-fi horror film from 1997.
Pete explains the story of a group of strangers trapped in a gigantic cube shaped construct made up of individual cube-rooms. They must use their wits to survive the deadly, booby-trapped rooms, figure out why they have been imprisoned, and find a way out before they starve to death.
Kevin knows better than to assume they will remain calm and work together like reasonable people. He also assumes that he would be just as doomed in this scenario, because he is terrible at math (the rooms are marked by number codes, which may reveal if they are trapped or not).
So join us in the Cube, avoid the blue rooms, and remember: don't get too scared...

On this episode of Fearless Films, the guys check out Jamie Lee Curtis' second slasher outing with the 1980 Canadian horror film, Terror Train. The story follows a group of college students celebrating New Years on a party train, and being stalked by a vengeful killer. Not quite "Die Hard on a train" but close enough.
Pete takes Kevin through the intriguing mystery of the movie, which is not the identity of the killer, but how they manage to sneak around the train undetected (hint, this is also a costume party). Then, Pete delights over the fact that David Copperfield performs legit magic tricks throughout the movie!
Kevin puzzles over the fact that there is an entire B-plot about old men discussing retirement and the value of the train industry. Not typical fare for a sexy teen slasher film, and Kevin is afraid of a repeat of Halloween 3's middle-aged protagonist nonsense.
So everyone hop on board, and try to survive the Terror Train! And remember, don't get too scared...

Welcome to Christmas time at Fearless Films! Having run out of Black Christmas movies to talk about (for now) Pete and Kevin turn to another Christmas movie for their holiday Cheer. Unfortunately for them 'cheer' is the last thing anyone is feeling as they struggle through this movie.
Pete tries to grapple with the horrendous exploitation in this 80's slasher telling the tale of a deranged orphan pushed past the brink of sanity, donning a Santa costume to go on a bloody Christmastime rampage.
Kevin spends his time oscillating between trying to understand the choices the movie makers make while criticizing the killer's choices of how he racks up the body count. His work is cut out for him this episode because Pete's right there with him in questioning the choices this movie makes.
So sit back next to the fireplace this Christmas time and make sure to lock your doors, and chimneys this Christmas time as Santa may be looking at your for his "Naught - KILL" list!
Have a happy holiday season from fearless films and remember - don't get too scared...

On this week's episode of Fearless Films, the guys talk about The Conjuring! This 2010's haunting film tells the tale of a family set upon by an evil spirit, and the middle aged ghost fighting couple who comes to save them.
Pete explains the history of the Warrens (the couple who fights ghosts), and how in real life, they were charlatans and con artists. The movie is a lot more sympathetic and paints them in heroic colors.
Kevin, as a home owner, offers his insight into just how many spooky events would have to happen to convince him to move out - one. The answer is one spooky happening. His family is not worth the trouble of a ghost who spends its days breaking picture frames and locking people in the basement.
So join us haunted house happening, and remember: don't get too scared...

On this week's episode of Fearless Films, the guys open up one Christmas present early, and inside is a killer doll! This is the late 80's slasher hit, Child's Play!
Pete tells the tale of a notorious serial killer using voodoo magic to inhabit the body of a doll in order to cheat death. He then continues his killing spree while trying to obtain the body of a young boy. In true 80's fashion, all of this madness is played straight and taken most seriously.
Kevin spends the entire episode trying to wrap his head around how a doll could be dangerous in the first place. More than that however, Kevin sympathizes with the high cost of toys for children, and how difficult it can be to please one's kids.
So take the batteries out, close the closet door, and stuff what's left under the bed. Make sure none of your toys are watching, and remember: don't get too scared...

In today's episode of Fearless Films, the guys discuss 30 Days of Night, a comic book inspired tale about a group of vampires that descend on a small Alaskan town to feed for an entire month while the sun never comes up over the horizon.
Pete describes the film as the last bastion of good, monstrous and violent vampires before the first Twilight film would come out the following year.
Kevin can only focus on his man-crush, Josh Hartnett, and largely complains that living in Alaska in general is a terrible idea.
So join us for this bloody and gruesome monster movie, and remember: don't get too scared...
