In this week’s episode, Rick brings us a series that’s all about combat with a twist. The Twist? It’s fought with their "Assets". The plot is thin, centered on sheer absurdity. Jack teases Rick, highlighting the series’ many weaknesses, while Rick counters by spotlighting its strengths.

This week's focus is on Backstories. With each episode featuring a backstory and minimal character development, making this anime is one for the books, in a bad way. In our opinion, it is one of the worst anime we have seen in a long time, almost as bad as Glasslip. Some characters even had us questioning why they were still present. In our opinion, this show is not worth watching, but if you need a break from all the great shows you watch, this may be what you need.

This week's topic is High-Rise Invasion, an intriguing take on the isekai genre set in a modern-day environment rather than a medieval one. While the story showed potential, it fell short in some aspects, leaving the us with numerous unanswered questions and while at the same time giving us unnecessary fanfare. By the end of the series, it seemed as though the creators were pushing for a second season, but there is no guarantee that it will happen. Despite its shortcomings, the anime had its merits and was somewhat entertaining.

The movie selection for next week is Ningen Fushin. Have you had the chance to watch it or any of the previous choices? We would love to hear your thoughts and opinions, or even suggestions for future movie picks!

This weeks choice takes a different view of the Iseki genre. And it is not a bad thing for it as well. In fact the story for this one is sold and they do not shy away from the harder aspects of the entertainment industry and the choices that our main characters have to select. It keeps it feet planted on the ground in our version of reality as well. In that there is no magic or monster's (in the traditional sense). This one is certainly worth the watch.

This week we have a very special guest from Anime Anonymous CJ! He joins both Jack and Rick as they talk about the movie giving a different view on it while also providing some clarification on some things. The conversation that they all have is solid with views and opinions on it being different on interpretations of key aspects of the movie. Overall though the movie was good, and it is worth the watch at least once.

We get all flipped around in this week's choice as we talk about a movie that literally has people and items being inverted. With a story like there they do a good job of leading you to a way of understanding the differences in between the 2 groups and also really play to how some people truly are and is that focus on people being afraid of the unknown with those who follow them and with those who are willing to venture forward. This movie is truly one that is worth at least 1 watch.

This week we talk about Wolf's Rain a solid choice to be sure but unless you watch the 4 OVAs (which are actually episodes) you will not get a conclusion to the series. Regardless you are given a solid story with some character growth, and it is one that is well worth a watch at least once.

Rick is back! And we talk about a lighthearted anime that left is feeling empty inside with such an open ending and nothing, but plot armor can help us. Much like this anime the level of plot in it is another lever. It seems like not matter what happens or what the main character does they always come out on top.
