Every group has the 'mom' friend. aka that one responsible friend who makes sure everyone has their wallets and phones before going out... In this episode of Feed That Nation, I invited my best 'mom' friend, Jon, to chat with me about the most important safety tips we have for college students everywhere!
Jon is a college RA, future music educator, Pokémon expert, and one of the wisest people I know. We had a great conversation about what it means to be the 'mom' friend, why that's a great thing, and what college students can do to protect themselves on the road, at parties, in their dorms, and everywhere else!

In this episode, I'm giving you my best tips for dealing with food and body shaming during the holiday season! Whether its family, friends, or that annoying social media guru talking about her plans to lose the "quarantine 15" in the new year, there is NOTHING I find more annoying than unsolicited comments about my body and how I choose to nourish it. Your safety and comfort is worth standing up for yourself!

"Work out 3 times a week" seems like a great idea...until it's winter and you live in Minnesota! This week, I'm talking about how to stay active in college...in the winter...during COVID...
And let me say: it is not easy! Staying active is a big challenge when it's too cold to go outside, and physical activity can be a critical self-care tool and mental health booster. Right now, it's all about having patience with ourselves.
My favorite staying active ideas:
Take a lap around the house (hallway, dorm) every hour.
Take the stairs (I know, I know, an obvious one)
Put on music and DANCE!
