Parea - Warm up @ Casa Gracia

Set description: Usually when I practice at home I tend to imagine myself playing at different venues in my city which I like. Then with that in mind, I perform according to whether do I imagine I am playing early in the night or during a peak-time set, afterhour, etc.

For this set I pictured myself playing a warm-up set at Casa Gracia where I had the honour to play and also is one of my favourite clubs in the city. This place was a former bank basement in Barcelona's city centre, although nowadays it is part of an hotel. The dance floor was quite small, surrounded by sofas and it had just one bar. The dj booth was facing the bar, and behind it you could find through the big windows an interior terrace for smokers. Lighting was warm, with dimmed lights, so that the atmosphere there was quite intimate although fast-paced dancers enjoyed as well :)

About Parea

About yourself: I am Marc from Barcelona. I started djing when I was 15 and I have played under my real name and other aliases since then. Around two years ago, I decided to start a new project under the alias Parea, which is more focused on tech-house and minimal.

Artist biography: Dj, producer and one of Barcelona's rising artists yet to get discovered. However Parea is no stranger to the local clubbing scene. He has played in some of the most known venues in the city such as Elrow, City Hall or Casa Gracia.

He started mixing while still a teenager and since then he has grown and matured his sound both as a producer and a dj. His sound can be defined as minimal-house, but it's more than that often moving between different subgenres of house and techno.

Best known for keeping the party going on for long hours, Parea has proven his creativity not only behind the decks, but also as a producer. His first release on Bandcamp has received good feedback and support. He published podcasts on Tanzgemeinschaft Magazine, Grainy Unknown Artist series, Sonica.es and Pineal Barcelona.

About yourself: Hey guys, I'm Mark Dumitrescu, Dj & Founder of Ūndisclosed Records NYC. I was born and raised in Bucharest, Romania and then moved to New York city.

Artist biography: I've started studying classical guitar at a young age, graduating from George Enescu Highschool. Once I've moved to New York, I've became involved in the electronic scene by promoting and organizing events for various clubs/ event series such as : Output, TBA Brooklyn, Teksupport, Brooklyn Mirage and my own brand, Ūndisclosed. Set description: I did enjoy the break and drop style a long time ago, aggressive if you are too happy, but now I'm mastering the art of keeping a journey trough beats and percussive elements, it's not always about the drop.

I did this one as a test with my own Traktor 2 mapping that allows me to use the Xone 92 mixer concept with 4 eq's.

About yourself: Started my journey trough kicks and snares two years ago but got the opportunity to have some after a year of using the good old mouse. This issue motivated me and really taught me that you can do quality products using what you have.

Koler - Set for feeder sound

Set description: In assembling this set I have started from one track around which I tried to build this entire set, that track being Baertaub Wolke, an all-time classic in my opinion. I did not want to stick to the idea of a set having a beginning, middle and ending but tried to more or less create a feeling, something that I am usually searching every time I go to see some of my favourite artists playing. My set is a celebration of the digging that I have been doing for the past year or so, displaying some of my all-time favourite tracks. You can find new and old tracks in this set trying to unite two periods, the pre 2000s one, before I was born, and the one that I am living in right now, trying to make the most out of it. Enjoy :)

Artist biography: A 19 year old music enthusiast trying to stretch the boundaries between minimal, deep house and techno music. An adept of the idea "good music I dance, no good music I not dance". My original influence was the Romanian minimal scene, but London definitely widens my taste for music, thus shifting a little bit to the deep house part of it.

Bogdan - Magnetic (10.04.2020 Vol. 9 Set 96)

Set description: It is a set that starts with electro, ebm and proto trance at 100 bpm for warm-up and then increases the intensity towards acid, electro and techno up to 130 bpm. It is a set dear to me that I made now during social distancing after many months of collecting music. It has an acid line in all the pieces that unifies the styles and offers coherence to the mix.

About Farid Odilbekov

Artist biography: Born in Moscow, lives in the Moscow region. Engaged in music for the 10th year. He writes and plays in the style of Minimal.

DJ and producer Farid Odilbekov is a musician with a unique style, a vivid representative of the domestic minimal scene. As a producer, he has released over 60 releases worldwide. His music was released on such respected labels as: Engineer records, Moira Audio, Minim.all, Baile Musik, Whoyostro, Tip Tap, Soblazn, Conceptual Records and many others. Satto - 17.39SOTB [Friday practice session @ Soundbarn] 

Set description: I have recorded this mix during one of my practice sessions. Nothing pre-planned, except for the idea of trying to take the dust off some older tracks to come up with a high energy set, and see how it goes.

About Satto

Artist biography: He started exploring electronic dance music towards the end of the 90's. What followed was a journey through various genres: from trance and progressive house, to minimal and techno. This led him to explore the Bucharest underground scene, booming at that time (2002 2006).

2006 marked the year when Satto decided to take the next step and start DJing himself, by throwing parties in his home town of Rm. Valcea. Satto contributed his unique style to the development of the small but enthusiastic local scene.

In 2007 he won a bedroom DJ contest, organized by cubecast.net, clubbing mag and beatfactor.ro, and got to play alongside Raresh & Praslea. Following a break of a few years, he resumed his DJ career, happy to share his passion for music with friends and listeners.

His sound sits somewhere between house and techno, with a heavy dose of darkness, spiced up with deep, hypnotic rhythms for good measure.

Berlin-based DJ & Producer diexx aka Juarés has perfected his signature cross between the electronic sounds of his new home with those of his old one in Mexico, mixing them into imaginative sonic fabrics that are both hypnotic and mesmerizing.
