All seven defendants in the Feeding Our Future trial were in custody Monday night after someone dropped off a bag of cash at a juror's on Sunday. Jurors started deliberations Monday afternoon.
And prosecutors dropped murder charges against Minnesota state trooper Ryan Londregan, who fatally shot Ricky Cobb II during a traffic stop in Minneapolis last year. Monday morning, Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty said the decision came because of new evidence that would make it impossible to prove unauthorized use of force.
But Londregan's defense attorney, Chris Madel, argued hours later that the evidence was already in a notice of defense filed with the court in January.
