How do you know if God is leading you to do something? Wouldn't you like to get some clear green lights of the Lord's leading in your life? In this message, Brian continues to use the example of Ananias in Acts 9 to show the qualities of a disciple-maker. Ananias was spiritually sensitive. The Lord spoke to him clearly and Ananias responded by doing what God told him to do. How about you?
This message is the 3rd in a series entitled Ananias, Gospel Sherpa.

The word "Christian" should mean a lot but in our culture, it really doesn't mean much. But the word "disciple" is measurable. It is verifiable. A disciple is evidenced by decisions, habits, and commitment. It requires life change. Your faith should get in the way of your life, not your life in the way of your faith. In Acts 9, Ananias is described as a "disciple at Damascus." In this message,s we look at 5 statements Jesus makes about what it means to be His disciple.
In times of transition, it is important to have someone come alongside you who can give you the information you need and help you make connections so you can become a part of the group. You need a Sherpa!
We see a great example of someone serving as a Spiritual Sherpa of sorts as Ananias comes alongside Saul in Acts 9. Ananias helped Saul move from becoming a persecutor of disciples to becoming one himself.
In this message, Brian talks about how you can both receive the ministry of a gospel sherpa and how you can become one yourself.

Swiss theologian Karl Barth said that we should have a newspaper in one hand and the Bible in the other. We should read both, but interpret the news by the Bible. Have you heard the news lately? What does the Bible say about it? Are you firm in faith or filled with fear? Will your next decision be more influenced by faith or by fear? While facing a real problem the prophet Isaiah gives King Ahaz an unlikely solution and the crisis of faith begins. This message covers selected passages from Isaiah 7-9.
What would you do if you met God? What would you ask? What doubts would you have Him address? Isaiah met God. He records the encounter in Isaiah 6.
