Sandra organized a meetup group to help people to improve English by debating in English 10 years ago. She worked in corporations and started her own business before the pandemic. Now she works from home. It feels great to meet a friend after 10 years especially during this pandemic. She moved to Quebec from Haiti when she was 3 years old and she is perfectly bilingual in English and French. Right now, she spends more time searching the true meaning of life.

Bin Zhu immigrated to Canada in 2006 with 6 years of IT experience in China. He delivered pizzas first and found his first Java programmer job in Montreal in 2007. After one and a half years, he got laid off before Christmas after he tried to negotiate a salary raise.  Frustrated with unexpected layoff, he partnered with a friend to buy a small grocery store only sold it with a huge loss after 6 months. This setback made him reignite his career ambition. He found a job with 30K salary in a small company. After six months he jumped to another company with 65K salary. Then he joined a big company called MindGeek. At MindGeek he transformed from a Java developer into a senior manager after taking a role of designing and implementing their new database platform. Seeing a potential long time to a higher position in a big corporation, he joined an AI company called FaimData as CTO and co-founder. Here he developed some interests of being an entrepreneur. With that dream in mind he founded his own company called Stratos recently trying to create a de-centralized infrastructure platform using blockchain technology. Gwayne Li moved to Quebec city with his parents when he was not even 5 years old from Tianjin China. I graduated from Tianjin University so Tianjin is my second hometown and we are kind of homies (LaoXiang in Chinese). He volunteered to shoot menu explaining videos for Cuisine AuntDai 6 years ago. He has pony tails like me and we look like real brothers. He has one young brother and one young sister. I met their family of five in our old restaurant at Cote-des-Neiges several years back. Their family is genuinely fun and beautiful.
