As it did in universities and colleges across the country, enrollment at CUNY campuses dropped significantly due to the pandemic. For the first time in three years, the public university system has seen an uptick in enrollment. Félix V. Matos Rodríguez joined NY1’s Errol Louis to discuss the state of the university and a new initiative aimed towards public high school seniors in the five boroughs. 

They also weighed in on the dangers of political interference in classrooms in states such as Florida, Texas and North Carolina.
